Scala Panama Men's Scala Panama Outback Hat

This, the third Scala hat I’ve owned, is worth every penny. Not to brag, but it looks damn good on me, at least that’s the impression I get from about everyone who comments, particularly the women. Well made, sized true, and obviously a quality piece. I’m sure one could spend vastly more on higher quality, but this one works.

My husband's other woven hat fell apart after many years of use. He wanted another that was similar. He didn't want a cowboy style hat, but one that had a brim that would adequately cover his face, ears, and the back of his neck. This one fit the bill perfectly. The inner band helps the hat fit well and the Outback style looks well on him.

This is one of several Panama's I have owned. Really like this for a few reasons: reinforced inside at the crown, a real Panama (made in Ecudor), not too expensive, durability is good for a Panama, wears and fits very well and I like an Outback style hat, Concur that it fits slightly small.

I tend to buy hats only for warmth and sun protection. This is only my third ever fashion hat purchase. The quality is very good, with a small insert to protect the crown. I believe that the hat is woven in Ecuador and blocked in USA (both labels). The hat is treated with Teflon. I would not regard this as a "utility hat" since it is clearly designed for fashion wear. In terms of build quality, better than the Amazon price that I paid. In terms of size, I have lots of baseball caps, which I must always adjust to full extension for my oversigned head. In this case, an Xl fit perfectly.

Very attractive hat that has held up well to daily wear

I judge my hats on if I remember that there on my head. If I forget, then I have the perfect hat! Great summer hat. I have a black felt and brown felt hat for cooler weather in the same brand and style. I have received so many compliments on these hats! I need to copy the order numbers to be able give out. So many want to know what and where to buy them. You will not be disappointed.

Hat is a father's day gift that I have not been given yet. But it is not rapped and I can try it on from time to time ---- and it feels just a little bit tight. It is to be a replacement for Scala hat I have enjoyed the past 12 years. The inside ban is twice as thick as my old Scala hat. But it is pretty. RW

Very good construction and very comfortable stylish. My second one. Still have first from 12 years ago. Now my yard hat. I recommend this hat highly.
