Great text! BUT, Kindle version does not offer continuous scrolling!
Great text! But BEWARE that if you order the Kindle form, THERE IS NO CONTINUOUS SCROLL FEATURE ON KINDLE AS OF 2016, for any of its books. This is a huge problem, as textbooks often include DIAGRAMS and it's really important to be able to see text and diagram on the same page. Also, when reading dense text, I find it really helpful to scroll line-by-line, keeping the current line at the top of the page. Not possible on Kindle, but most other journal articles available anywhere online offer scrolling. Kindle textbooks are a big disappointment for me due to their inability to scroll.

book is ok, but was in poor shape when it arrived.
There are a lot of grammatical errors in this book. It's not really the best for an intro book, which our professor even admitted. But overall, it's ok. however, this book was in sad shape when I got it. (I rented it) The front and back cover were falling apart, and I've had a hard time keeping it in decent shape. The pages aren't too bad: not too much highlighting or writing. but the front and back cover are bad.

as to be expected--how do you make something like this an entertaining read
A comprehensive audiology textbook. Sufficient for any introductory-level audiology course. The language is bland, as to be expected--how do you make something like this an entertaining read? The author mixes in enough charts and graphics to make the material digestible. This was a nice supplement to my professor's lectures. Definitely worth it if you're taking an audiology class.
