Great value, great coffee, easy to use and clean.
Really great robust product. Keeps my coffee hot for easily over an hour. Not tested longer as I tend to drink it but still very hot after an hour so I expect it might keep hot for much longer. Make it hot using boiling water before you make the coffee in order to have maximum heat retention. Looks nice and is very easy to clean. Quick and easy to make the coffee and of course you can use all sorts of different coffee and blends. I like to use beans and grind them myself, but you can also use ready ground. Comes with several spare mesh filters. Great for two people use, or for one heavy user.

Does the job well... buy it
Okay so, there was a slight black discolouring on the bottom of the handle. Apart from that. Very solid. Nice vacuum design does keep the water warm. Useful extra metal filters included, if you ever need to change them. It does the job. The obvious thing to point out is you cannot see through it, so if you like to view the filter and see if the coffee is filtering at the bottom etc you will not be able to (unless you are super/wo/man and can see through metal)! I also sussed recently that if you are finding it hard to push down, it is possibly because you have filled it too high. It seems the lower the level the smoother it pushes down easily. Overall, I like this solid (hopefully long lasting) cafetiere. It looks good which is one of the main things, as well as doing its job well. Enjoy!

Hmmmmm
Okay so an honest review on this product. Plus points: I like the size and I like the style. It is easy to clean. Do not use a scratchy pad or anything similar on the exterior or you will end up ruining the finish. Why take the risk? The handle is sturdy and it has not come loose yet. I don't think it actually will with normal use. The extra filters are a pure bonus. The gauge on the inside is genius. The cleaning utensil to clean it is very handy. Let's get a bit more critical: This does not keep coffee hot as it would in a flask. Does it keep it hot longer than a glass French press? Marginally. I would say it gives you an extra 10 minutes and no more. So don't expect miracles. The metal on metal sound as it's being plunged does grate on me little, but it was obviously going to happen. I use this by filling it with boiling hot water from the kettle, place the lid on and letting it heat it up for 5 minutes. Then I empty and make coffee in the usual way. If I'm not going to drink it all reasonably quickly, because it is metal, I place it in a specific spot on the Aga and that helps keep it hot, without stewing it. I will continue to use it as I can place it on the Aga unlike a glass one. Going forward, I will make a cozy/jacket for it, like I have for my other French presses. Would I recommend it? It's not a miracle item, but for its own plus points that a personal to me, yes I probably would.

Solid Elegant Cafetiere
Very pleased with this purchase. Decided to buy this after the glass broke on my latest cheap cafetiere. The Miuly is stainless steel & it is solidly built with all metal edges nicely finished. It has a double wall to retain heat - the outside feels only slightly warm in use - so it is not losing much heat at all. Its very easy to keep clean - nothing gets stained - unlike the plastic parts on a cheap item. The plunger has an arrow on the top - point it away from the spout to keep the heat in while brewing & then turn it round to the spout for pouring. Mine came with 5 spare filter meshes which is a bonus. The mesh fits very snugly inside the pot & seems strong - it hasn't deformed at all so far. The inside of the pot has liquid quantity indications - but this doesn't work for me as it is difficult to see them when pouring steaming water into it. No problem though, because my mugs take about 300ml - so I just boil exactly the amount I need & just pour it straight in.

Good quality coffee press
Very pleased with the purchase. There was a problem with our initial order which was quickly resolved and replaced. The coffee press does keep coffee warmer than our previous glass coffee press and the measuring scale on the inside of the press is very useful. Easy to clean and comes supplied with extra filters. We would recommend.

Super nice!
Being a bit heavy handed with the glass type cafetieres and breaking a few in the past, I took the plunge and invested in this beauty. It is lovely to use and now lives out on the counter top rather than in the cupboard when not in use. Pretty, efficient and it stands up to my clumsiness.

Any chance of a replacement filter?
I bought this to use on our boat. The first time I used it was when we were moored in a coastal marina. We were very pleased with the look of the item but the item description said that there was a gauge on the inside wall. There is no gauge. The coffee stayed hot for as long as we needed it to and we considered we’d made a good buy. Not wanting to put the dregs down the sink in the boat I emptied the dregs into the water and rinsed the pot out at the tap on the pontoon. I then rinsed the top and filter. The bottom of the filter simply fell off into the water never to be seen again. It was, obviously not fixed on very well. I had to buy a cheap glass cafetière at our next port of call so that I could use its innards. The filter is soldered on so I couldn’t attach it to the original. I am now using the pot with a plastic lid that’s not even a perfect fit! Any chance of a replacement filter? I know we bought this a few weeks ago but we have been away from home for over 4 weeks with very little access to the internet.
