Brilliant, should be required reading
Adam Smith is absolutely brilliant. This is a very readable book, and Smith really is the father of modern commerce. His ideas paved the way for prosperity and happiness. Probably the most important philosopher in history. Sure, Plato blathered on about caves and wrote some readable dialogues, but this stuff really matters.

Dear Lord
I am clearly not bright enough for this book. I need to stick to Dr Seuss. The book is in great shape, legible and probably full of useful information once I am able to get past the second chapter. I will try again. Never give up!

Must read to grasp economics
I wanted to see why Elon Musk thinks highly of this book so I ordered a copy. For any serious understanding of how an economy works in any civilization the writings of Adam Smith provide a rich background without being overly academic.

L'édition est de qualité médiocre; le texte est bon
Le texte est celui d'Adam Smith, présenté en deux colonnes. Rien à dire de ce côté. Si vous cherchez La richesse des nations en anglais, vous aurez La richesse des nations en anglais. C'est l'édition qui justifie mes 2 étoiles: - La couverture montre un portrait de Smith, mais mal détouré... ça donne l'image générale du soin apporté à l'édition. - même portrait à l'intérieur, mais cette fois pixelisé et mal recadré. Pauvre Smith... - ce manque de soin se retrouve dans le livre, dont la qualité est faible. Une reliure vaguement collée pour 420 pages, ça ne va pas tenir dans le temps. Surtout, ne pas l'ouvrir trop, sous peine de voir des feuilles voler... - Enfin, le texte est imprimé sur deux colonnes, ce qui aide à la lecture (le livre mesure 20cm x 25cm), mais il n'y a quasiment pas de marge. Personnellement, j'ai besoin de prendre des notes. Le texte arrive aussi près des marges que possible et me rend claustrophobe. Toute tendance, même légère, à la dyslexie, sera impitoyablement punie. Il s'agit donc d'une édition créée en 2 minutes, qui ne tiendra pas au-delà de la première lecture. Donc, si vous cherchez un livre jetable ou que tout ce que vous voulez, c'est l'exposer dans votre bibliothèque, achetez cette édition bon marché. Pour tout autre usage, ne faites pas la même erreur que moi et préférez une édition reconnue qui sait produire des reliures et laisse respirer ses textes.
