Works I'm pretty sure
This is the second time I purchased this product. It is probably one of the few natural and pet safe repellents out there. They sell a organic and pet friendly repellant only at Home Depot which smells identical to this product so the ingredients are the same i suspect. It has a very strong odor but it is not bad and I use this on my Huskies daily b/c around here in the summer they wander off into the bushes and almost always get a tick once a month since they get daily walks and sometimes two. The Advantix II and Frontline didn't help at all so i resorted to using apple cider vinegar on their treats and when giving them baths using a little vinegar to help penetrate to the skin then wash it off. It helped or it could have just been a coincidence in conjunction to using this product daily on their feet and rubbing it near their necks which is where ticks love to climb and cling on to. Since using this product i have not found a single tick on them with the exception of finding one on one of them and that is because we took a new route and the rascal pulled me to the side so he could pee on a bush and rubbed his lower half into the bush which i had not sprayed. I keep them away from bushes as much as I can but they get their way sometimes, it's your job to keep them happy and healthy and as a responsible and caring dog owner I would recommend this product if you have tick problems. We don't have flee's around here so i can't comment on how well it works but I imagine it is just as effective. The product states to rub it in their fur and you can spray every 2-3 days but I spray their legs daily before the walk and rub it in their leg and around their neck and it has worked well. I also wipe the guys clean after every walk with baby wipes so it helps clean them and takes away the odor of this spray as well. I would recommend this for sure.

Great Product, Generally Works Well, and (Bonus) Smells Good
We live in an area that can have a lot of ticks depending on the time of year, and our little black terrier is just a magnet for them - seriously, one time we came home and pulled more than 50 ticks off of him after a day long walk. It was horrifying and I felt terrible for the little guy. I don't know if it's the color of his fur or the length or that he's low to the ground or just the perfect storm, but he attracts ticks like no dog I've ever seen. We have most often used Frontline, and we still do at the worst times of the year, but much of the year, this seems to suffice. He doesn't like the smell and acts like he's being tortured when I apply it, but he's back to normal in a few minutes. (And I like the smell fine :>) He has had very few tick issues since we started using this; either alone or in conjunction with Frontline. The caveat here is that nothing is perfect - including the expensive chemicals (oral and in an applicator) that I get from the vet. I certainly can't promise you that you won't ever find a flea or tick with this product. It helps quite a bit, however, and I like the idea of not putting a bunch of chemicals on him, not the least because he sleeps in our bed and is always with us, so what we put on him we are really applying to ourselves.

Works really well to keep ticks away
This product seems to work really well as a natural alternative to traditional flea and tick medicines that go into dog's blood stream. We live in an area where ticks abound - my short legged little dachshund would sometimes pick up 10 of them on a short walk despite of us using Advantix. So I stopped Advantix alltogether (she was always itchy after applying it anyway), and she's been doing really well. You do have to remember to apply it at least once a day for it to be effective, but as long as you do, no little hitch hikers on your furry friend. It has a pleasant spicy scent and smells a lot like cinnamon. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that she really doesn't like it to be sprayed on her so I spray it on my hand and then apply it all over her fur.

Smells great, works okay if the fleas aren't too bad
I use this product as a kind of extra precaution sometimes when my cat goes outside. The fleas in our area got really bad, so I had to resort to putting the poison on my cat (Revolution) to get rid of the bad infestation he had. In between using the Revolution spot-on formula, I will sometimes spray this on my cat's body and rub it in a bit before sending him outside. He hates it, but he will tolerate it. I just think it helps towards the end of the month when the Revolution is wearing off but I don't want to reapply it too early and overload his body with the chemicals. I wish this stuff worked as good as the chemicals, but sometimes you just gotta bring in the big guns when the fleas get that bad. This stuff smells really good though, I love how it makes the cat smell. I like knowing it won't harm him or me, since it's just essential oils. I spray it on my couches and his bedding sometimes too to refresh and keep fleas away from it.

Good ADDITION to regular spot on
I am loving this stuff! My dog has never had fleas due to regular applications of frontline but since my dog has an extremely thin coat with nothing but peach fuzz on his chest and tummy, flies and mosquitoes and knats are BRUTAL! He is often the only dog in a group of dogs being bitten by flies, mosquitoes and god knows what else. He constantly has big bumps all over from fly bites. I bought advantix since it claims it also repels biting flies but not only does it not do that, my dog is very itchy for a good week after applying. He scratches soo much like he has fleas but he does not (had groomer and trainer check him). My trainer recommended this product since she claims she does not use any chemicals on her dogs. I have to reapply it often especially if he takes a dip in a lake, I just keep a bottle in my hiking back pack. We went on a hike with a group of dogs and my dog was the only one to not have a tick on him! Usually he's the first dog to get the ticks (and with a very thin light brown coat they are very easy to spot). If you already have fleas... well if you already have fleas no matter what you use they are very tough to get rid of so good luck, prevention is the best medicine. I will still be using frontline in the warm months (8 or 9 months out of 12, I don't care what they say I will not use toxic pesticides on my dog in really cold months). I have four cats at home that are indoor cats so my goal is to only treat the dog so that the cats don't have to be treated. So I cannot risk one flea coming into my house but this is a great additional treatment for the flies, ticks and mosquitoes. oh also.. it has vitamin E in it, my dogs coat seems healthier and shinier plus it lacks the small bald patches from when flies used to bite him and it has a random benefit of a doggy deorderizor! (sorry for the spelling)

NO MORE FLEAS in my bed, couch, etc! Rare ticks on the cats.
Works great, natural, smells good. Sprayer works well & lid doesn't leak. PLENTY of spray to last awhile. My cats dislike the smell & won't let me touch or brush them if they get a whiff. I spray it on a bristle brush then get their necks, backs, & bellies when they're distracted. Better than putting random poisons on them! Side note: I have used it on myself and it works quite well, but NOT against mosquitoes! Needs vanilla.

Works against Ticks
It actually works. I was skeptical at first from reading mixed reviews, but it works! I spent an entire week with my terrier who runs off leash on our long walks in North Carolina and Tennessee. She digs, sniffs, and runs through the forests like nuts. These states have Many ticks. I would spray and rub it in her fur, her paws, spray some on my hands and rub it in hear her face (pretty sure it would burn her eyes if sprayed at her face.) How I know it works for sure, is because I found a few scabs a few days after being outside, but No Ticks. It's like they tried biting her, but didn't dare to stay after my daily sprays (sometimes twice a day.) I would do tick checks daily, and no ticks found on her!! just the three scant scabs. Which is insane, because usually when we travel to the midwest, the ticks are a huge issue for us. If have a small 13 lb dog and she had no negative reactions to this spray, which is Awesome. I bought this product and Vetri-Repel Flea & Tick Spray. To my amusement, both of these companies use the EXACT same recipe. Same ingredients with the same concentration. So technically, either of these sprays should work great.
