A low cost upgrade to breath a bit more life into an old Dell Latitude.
I used this to upgrade my old Del Latitude. My download speed has doubled and websites are much snappier and now I Bluetooth too. Arrived well packaged in a cardboard box, Jiffy type bag and an antistatic bag. Also supplied with a small fixing screw. The upgrade took around five minutes and Ubuntu detected it all perfectly on first boot.

Perfect to revive an old laptop
I was trying to refurbish my 8 year old laptop and the default wireless card wasn't able to see 5Ghz networks. I installed that card and it works flawlessly! Not only I can see all 5Ghz networks now, but also the laptop could succeed to make my current network connection automatically in Windows & Ubuntu after the driver installations.

Issues with Windows 10, fine with everything else
Getting this to work reliably in Windows 10 has been a struggle. Re-installing Windows 10 Anniversary Edition finally sorted out whatever hassles the drivers were having with the Windows TCP/IP stack, but there are still random drop outs, just not as bad as before...

Speed Up Your Transfers
Great WiFi card - bought it to replace a Dell WiFi card in my Inspiron 5748 and works 100% as it should. Has easily doubled the transfer speeds over my LAN when copying files (compared to the old card). Glad I made the change.

Nice upgrade
This has taken my old system from 72Mbps on N to averaging about 600Mbps on AC. Proper happy.

Great for Linux, bad drivers for Windows 7
I bought two of these in 2019, to upgrade the wifi on a 2009 laptop (Core 2 Duo) and an older netbook (Atom). Both wifi cards still work great in 2023. I maxed out in all specs in the laptop, and the wifi was one of the things I wanted to upgrade from WiFi "N". Back then I still had my Windows 7 as a "just in case" OS, but the Intel wifi driver was garbage with it (I removed Windows as a result). With Linux Mint, it ran at maximum speed, the wireless range improved significantly, it was a delight to see the old laptop so fast in networking. At the moment of writing this review, I'm doing a network backup through it, and it keeps going at maximum speed. The same performance brought the even older netbook into modern days. I don't need that for CPU power, but the fast wifi was perfect for what I wanted to do with it. The bluetooth also works great on both, this is a solid card and I'm happy with it almost 4 years later. If you have an old laptop with poor wifi, upgrading it is well worth it.
