Sewing Machine, GX37, 37 Built-in Stitches, 6 Included Sewing Feet

Amazing! I am just starting out on sewing and I’m a complete beginner. This machine is the most affordable and easiest thing I have ever even used. I set it up in less than ten minutes. The stitching is perfect and very durable. The sewing machine is also really lightweight which is perfect for travelers💕 I 100% recommend!!

Purchased the GX37 machine because it was less expensive than getting my old basic Singer repaired! Amazon apparently combines the reviews for model GX37 and LM2701, although the LM2701 is several years older, has fewer functions, includes fewer accessories, and is $23 more expensive. Seemed liked a no-brainer to go with the cheaper, newer model GX37, which comes with more options and accessories. I am glad I did! I’ve been sewing a long time but usually only basic things—hems, face masks, seam repairs, drapes, etc. Don’t usually use the fancy stitches or make buttonholes. I was able to unpack the GX37, follow the sticker guides right on the machine to thread it and immediately sew a practice seam without reading any instructions or watching the video. It’s pretty easy to figure out if you’ve used a sewing machine before. It comes with a bobbin already threaded and inserted, and with a 90/14 needle (for medium weight fabric) already installed. So all you need to do is thread the top thread and you’re ready to go! The machine produces perfectly “balanced” seams—meaning the tension is perfect with no puckering or pulling. I took some photos to show you. Very easy to use this machine! What I don’t like is minor: (1) The built-in storage compartment at the front of the machine - when you slide it out to remove it, all the stuff inside falls out because it is shaped more like a “bookcase” (open on one side) instead of a “bin”. That is not a handy way of storing extra stuff like bobbins. (2) The LED light is a little too dim. (3) Raising the presser foot feels a little awkward—it’s a plastic lever that flips out to the side. Every machine have ever owned has had a metal lever that flips “up” toward the back of the machine. (4) To change the needle, you need a screwdriver. They provide a dime-sized tool that serves as a screwdriver. To me, that is just something I’ll have to look for when I need to change the needle, and something to lose. It would be better to just turn a knob with your finger to change the needle. Overall, I think this is a great machine at a very reasonable price, and it includes many very nice features including 74 stitch functions and 37 built in stitches. I was so excited about the needle threader, that I immediately did it three times! As I get older and it’s harder to see to thread a needle, that is a VERY HANDY feature indeed! Both models GX37 and XM2701 come with the needle threader. It does not come with a case—but no sewing machine I have ever owned came with one. It fits fine in my old universal sewing machine case. It does come with a dust cover but I can’t see using that because I would probably not leave the sewing machine out. Overall, I am REALLY pleased with this sewing machine. What a great buy, and easy to use with *clearly written* instructions. Thank you BROTHER! Working well. Got this machine to replace one that was not good quality. This machine runs smoothly and is easy to use. I am very pleased.

Awesome little machine! It will take me a while to completely learn all it's functions since I don't use it but once a month but this summer I will need to make some items. This machine does an amazing amount of sewing patterns "For Me". I like that it came not only with a paper manual that I could read and comprehend but it came with a DVD to physically show you how it operates... And in a language I could understand. Singer was my first choice but they won't give you a paper manual or DVD, you have to have access to online broadband to access singers site. All the negative comments and they have gone down hill, letting millions of their users upset. I like my brother Machine and I really would recommend to anyone looking for a cost effective machine that will get the job done. Like a lot of my other purchase reviews, I will return in about a year and give everyone an update. Thank you brother for the fast shipping and a quality product. 👍🏻

I don't like to sew, but I needed something for repairs, hems, etc. This is a great sewing machine! It is lightweight (10 lbs) which is important to me as I cannot lift heavy things anymore, it has metal parts (and some plastic) and is fairly easy to use.

My first attempt at sewing and this was a very good machine to learn on. Solid build IMO and perfect for what I need it for.. very easy to use…

Was told by many people online that this was a good starter sewing machine, and since my sister had been saying she wanted to get into sewing for a few months I figured it's be a good birthday present for her. She absolutely loves it, especially with everything it comes with, and while she's still a beginner, she already started repairing old clothes that had been ripped in one way or another. I got it on sale for about $95, but i think even the full price is good value for what this can provide.

This sewing machine is really great! It’s easy to operate, even for beginners. The stitching is neat and beautiful, and it runs quietly without disturbing anyone. Whether for everyday clothing repairs or simple handmade projects, it works perfectly. Overall, it has excellent value for money and is highly recommended!

Muy buena maquina, recomiendo poner agujas singer ya que las agujas que trae se desenhebra fácilmente si pasas por un borde grueso pero con las singer no. De ahi en fuera es excelente, he hecho ya un vestido con ella y quedo perfecto, super recomendada!!! En cuanto al empaque venia muy bien embalada y traía unicel en su interior, llego en la fecha estimada y ademas la compre en oferta así que si la ves a buen precio definitivamente COMPRALA!

Needed a new sewing machine when mine unexpectedly resigned. Bought this one for the price, reviews, time to get here and partially the purple colour. So far so good! It works like a charm, love the way the bobbin sits, it never gets jammed unlike my old one where it was much more complicated and you couldn't see the bobbin once it was in. This sewing machine is not for heavy duty work, it's a very simple machine and can't quilt or anything like that. I've used it to make doll clothes, a blanket and plan to make clothes for myself. No issue with it thus far. The price felt fair, I also had a coupon for some $80off. Stores around me sell machines for a lot more and I would have to transit home with it, so Amazon was my best option to get one in soon and I had free shipping. Overall I'd recommend this for beginner/casual sewists, it's also great for younger teens as it's very simple to understand. It's cute, compact, works well and is worth the cost in my opinion.

Can't use it ATM, as was sent with a US power supply for UK use. Had to purchase a correct supply at additional cost £30/45usd. Not happy. On a plus note arrived 5 days early. Looks like a great machine though. Hopefully update on functions when correct power supply arrives

Haven't used a sewing machine since high school home economics class, and this was so simple to learn. Even has a part that threads the needle so no need to strain the eyes. Only made a few projects so far, but works like a charm.😊
