Pretty good camera especially for the price
Installed this on my 08 Silverado. Running the wire and installing to head unit was relatively easy. Camera quality isn’t the greatest but for the price I think it’s worth it. I also am use to large vehicles and being able to park without a back up cam. I sometimes forget to even use this however in those unsure moments this comes in clutch.

Easy replacement and works great
Perfect fit on a 2008 GMC Sierra 2500HD. Looks stock. I ran the wire to the cab so the excess is near the tailgate (vs. having excess wire behind the head-unit). This is counter to several videos I saw on Youtube. My thinking is that you want some slack AND have the disconnect close to the tailgate in case you want to remove your tailgate for some reason. Pulling it taught to the cab and shrinkwrapping/zip-tying the disconnect to the side rail is going to be a real pain if you want to remove the tailgate. Also, regardless of how you run it, make sure you leave a little slack at the tailgate so 1) the tailgate can open and close without pulling on the wire, and 2) you have enough slack to pull the cover back off in case you need to replace tailgate latch retaining clips. Which leads me to my last point - while you have the cover off, take a look at your retaining clips. If they look about shot, it is a good time to replace them. :)

easy install and works great, but the field of vision is limited
I like this camera, and it has good quality. Only thing is, the field of vision is not the great. I am not able to see my hitch and very limited on the horizon too I would perhaps not have noticed, other than I installed cameras on my son's 2004 Dodge Ram 3500 Quad Cab and I can see his hitch and way above behind as well. His camera works amazing. His points down from the tail gate handle bezel as well; very similarly to this one. I am now looking at a different camera to stick in this housing. Looking at the PixelMan one. I used the PixelMan for my son's front camera and it can do back up (mirror), front (normal) and has backup lines that you can disable as well. It's also uses a single plug (like this one does) to connect the camera (video and power) so you can remove the tail gate with ease if needed. So this setup gets the job done, but knowing what I know now, I would shop around.

Perfect
Looks great. Cable length was long enough to run all the way up and I believe it had some extra. Clear video quality. Very durable. Highly functional. Great quality for a low price. Bought it as a stock option look for my truck because I had gotten an aftermarket radio but didn't have a camera and I love it.

Not exactly HD but better than no backup cam!
Easy to install if you know basic wiring and wire management! Make sure you have plenty of zip ties on hand, a wire hanger and electrical tape! As far as the plastic trim itself, it fit like a glove. My truck didn’t have a locking tailgate so there was an awkward hole there, I wish they made this without the lock. Camera quality is grainy and sometimes hard to make out objects that are 10+ feet away, but like I said in the heading… better than nothing! For $70 it looks OEM, can’t beat it.

Only lasted 1 week
Install was pretty straight forward, and the camera looks ok. Camera is a little zoomed in when comparing to the camera this was replacing that I had on the truck. Picture quality was decent for the price but does not compare to the more expensive cameras. Unfortunately, the camera stopped working after 1 week.

Works great
Looks OWM and really easy to install. The only negative thing I have to say is it doesn't come angled down enough to see your trailer hitch. And that's why I really wanted a back up cam to back up easier to my trailer. But it was easy to grind down the mounting plate and angle it perfectly where I needed it to be. Quality is great coming through my xtrons radio.

Worth the price over the ones listed for half the price
What an Akshay difference between this camera and the one that came with my radio. The quality is great considering the price, the length of the wiring was plenty long enough for a crew cab pickup, the tailgate mount is a great fit, the camera angle is prefect to see the hitch, you can clip the little green wire to remove the parking lines. I couldn't be more pleased.
