SafeTGard 3 Pack Youth Form Fit Mouthguard with Strap

They sent the SafeTGuard Lockjaw, which is different than what is pictured, but no big deal. Unfortunately, this has to be the most unmoldable mouthguard I've every seen. I've molded a ton as a kid growing up and for my son. It doesn't even get soft enough to leave teeth mark when molding. Will be looking for another option for affordable mouthguards.

My son has been playing flag and tackle football pretty much year round for the past few years. I have tried many mouth guards including the expensive $15 under armor, and Dr shock guards. We've tried the flavored guards and others as well.A few things I've observed,1) All guards will get lost2) All guards will get chewed to the point of not being useable (yes even the chew proof ones, -they just have a hard inner layer ...but the kids chew right to it and then you have a guard that is a mess w/ bits of soft plastic and hard plastic layered). --you'll know after you try them.3) All guards seem to in my experience do their jobs quite well.4) The flavored guards in my opinion seem to be a gimmick, my son wanted them and had to have them, I bought them and after 1 practice he spit them out and never wanted to use them again. I don't think any of the players use the flavored guards.5) I prefer the guards w/ the straps... ones w/o straps are useless during a game or practice as kids like to spit the guards out of their mouth during time-outs or resting.I have been purchasing these "3 pack! Youth form fit guards" for the past year. What I like about them is that they are the only ones that form to fit your child's unique mouth. This means they are comfortable to wear, in fact these seem to be the most comfortable fit for my son. I've never heard a complaint, in fact he prefers these to the other brands. The other thing I like is the cost, at about $2 a guard (3 for $6-$7) I don't mind that he misplaces them and I always keep an extra in his football bag ...in case one is misplaced prior to a practice or game.

This mouth guard does what it is suppose to. The fitting process is not something I was familiar with and was a learning process for a newbie. My son refused to put it in his mouth after we heated it up cause he thought it would burn so it didn't get "molded" right. When I reboiled it it shriveled into a funky shape. Fortunately there are 3 in the pack so the other two went smoothly. I counted the 1st as a learning curve. Was happy I didn't have to learn with one of the 15 dollar ones from Dick's 😊.I changed my review from 4 stars to five. We have used these for 3 weeks now, practices 5 days per week. The ones his team mates have had have broken down from biting a lot faster. We are still on our first!

My four year old twin boys are playing in a flag football league and as part of the rules had to have mouth guards. Had to trim about a 1/4" off the back because they both said "it goes to far back". Easy enough to trim with a pair of kitchen scissors. Took a couple tries to form the mouth guard because they were scared of it being "too hot". Once they learned and realized it wasn't going to burn they cooperated and bit down to form them to their mouths and teeth. Used them during practice today and never complained about being uncomfortable and kept it in their mouths. Get my recommendation.

My 7 and 9 year old boys are using these for football. Both say they are comfortable and work well without having to be cut or shortened in any way. They were easy to mold and because both my boys tend to chew on them throughout the season, a pack of 3 for each of them at this price is perfect. They clip onto the helmet easily and stay put. My 7 year old sometimes carries his helmet around by the mouthpiece and it never comes unclipped.

I bought these for my nephew & my sister said these are the same as what the school was selling & you can't beat the price, the school was charging about the same price for 1 mouth guard, I'm very satisfied with this purchase & since it was a 3 pack my sister was able to give 1 to a little boy who needed it or he wouldn't have been able to join the team for football practice

I actually bought this item for a whole different reason, no sports involved. My son likes to chew on things his shirt, socks, towels, really anything. So I bought him this to see if it would keep him from ruining his clothes and so far so good. It’s durable and has actually lasted longer than the usual chew necklaces I buy. I do recommend this product.
