It’s okay...
It’s okay. I had to reword it a lot. I don’t like how the balloon crawls under the wise rock and hides; there are some boundary issues that I don’t know about it. Also, I don’t like “Tie yourself up to me and pretend I’m a kid, then show me what you can do.” Is probably use it again but definitely leaving those parts out.

I like that it talks about medicine too (to normalize it ...
Used this book for a paper/presentation I did in my Counseling Children and Adolescents class. I like that it talks about medicine too (to normalize it for children who really need it). I did think it was a little long but overall good book.

A book that was so very much needed!
If you have children who are experiencing sadness, anxiety, or depression, they will be able to see themselves in this little balloon. Children will go on a journey as this little balloon goes from being deflated, to floating once again 🥰 I love that this book takes on such a difficult topic in a form for children to understand!

Julia Cook is great
I really enjoy all of her books, They deliver a message to kids of all ages that are struggling with these issues. Or can help siblings or friends understand. Very good!

Very cute and creative
My little clients love this book. Very easy for a child with depression to relate to and understand. You can do fun therapy activities with balloons after reading the story.

is not easy to talk about
Well-written book for discussing depression with young children. Right on their level of understanding on a topic that, although common, is not easy to talk about.
