Don't be afraid to freeze this..
We go through a lot of BBQ sauce, so buying one gallon containers is a huge savings, and along with the savings we get a name-brand high quality sauce discounted for buying in bulk by the gallon.We don't worry about having to use it fast after opening because after filling our initial container, we freeze the rest until it's time to pull another one. You may want to save some of your old BBQ sauce and ketchup containers so you have something more manageable to dispense from.The BBQ sauce has a mild heat, just enough to be somewhat spicy. Also, this sauce is more on the tart side. Overall we like it and wanted to try it for something different. On our next purchase I'm going to try the Cattlemen's Kentucky Bourbon. This is not Sweet Baby anything
Surely, many people love SBR's BBQ sauce. I have tried it and use it on pulled pork and pulled chicken sandwiches. (in modest amounts.) I often make my own sauces, using a variety of ingredients and while it takes time and will not keep over 4 or 5 days, it is good. Cattleman's BBQ sauce fills a very clear need, at least for me. I use it as a marinade for anything going on a grill and almost everything that goes into the oven. I also use it to baste chicken nuggets and home made chicken strips in my air fryer. It does have a bite to it.. not overly so to me, but it is BBQ sauce, not a honey or molasses based sauce. I bought the gallon size for the economy value and taste. It will not go to waste in my home. If you are unsure, buy a small bottle and try it. I think it is excellent both as a marinade and basting BBQ sauce.

It is a little runny but absolutely perfect to soak in to pulled pork. Whole family likes it. Gonna order more
