St Andrew Daily Missal 1945 (Gold Edges)

The St. Andrew Daily Missal is a real gem and worth every penny. It has much material in it which I have not found in any other missal. It includes extensive doctrinal, liturgical and historical notes for the seasons. Each Sunday Mass includes a commentary which ties in the Mass with the traditional breviary. These commentaries contain explanations for the readings of the Mass, often with comments from the saints. The Kyriale and hymns are in modern music notations. But the missal is not without some shortcomings. The typeface of the commentaries and their footnotes is very small. I personally need a magnifying glass. And the section dealing with the sacraments for some reason excludes Extreme Unction. Nevertheless, I find this to be one of the best traditional Latin Sunday Missals. Generally, to get the best out of it one should study the Sunday Mass beforehand.

I have most of the missals available, but by far this is the best missal I have ever owned and used. There are 1962 St. Andrew Missals ( I also own one) usually sold used but that I don't recommend, they are a bit modernized and changed. I highly recommend this 1945 St. Andrew Missal. I love that there are explanations of each mass, and the stational churches. There are also updates in the end of certain masses for feastdays like the Assumption and the Immaculate Heart. It's a very easy to use missal, fits your palm perfectly, it's hard bound and feels durable. It also contains litanies in both English and Latin and many prayers. It's a beautiful missal with very inspiring and traditional illustrations. I highly recommend this missal, it's probably the best available.

The St. Andrew is an excellent missal that I highly recommend. It has all the Sunday readings, major feast days, meditations, and explanations for various ceremonies and traditions. Other extras include preparation for Confession, certain litanies and prayers as well as chants. It's just what I needed to follow the Latin Mass.

St Andrew and Fr Lasance missals are the best traditional catholic missals, full stop. I love this missal, the information contained in it is invaluable.

Although this rite is probably celebrated nowhere, it is an invaluable reference and resource. The ribbons, however, were poor quality and frayed.

This missal is beautiful and well made. I had a small issue that was resolved quickly and would definitely buy from this seller again.

You want pre 55 this is a great little missal

Through no fault of the seller, my missal was missing 30 pages! I didn’t notice until March 31 (it was missing Easter through Easter Wednesday!). I had no hope since I had purchased it in January. But, how wrong I was. Not only did they answer my email within minutes of sending, they are sending a replacement. Extraordinary and good to know there are businesses like this still out there.

For the price of this book, it’s poor quality and all the ribbons fell out upon the first use. Tried to contact the seller multiple times, no response. Don’t waste your money.
