I’ve been using this style of popcorn popper for years! This my ninth rotation style stovetop popper in over 20 years (we’ve replaced quite a few over the years, they don’t last forever). It makes fantastic popcorn, quickly and easily! So far this popper has proven to be better than any of the models I’ve tried previously. It’s relatively sturdy and for no reason I can discern, comes clean a little easier (it's not easy to clean, but easier than other similar poppers). We pop popcorn almost every day at our house and so far this one has been a workhorse! PROS: 1. Pops a batch of popcorn in a FLASH! 2. Super easy to use. 3. Rotating arm prevents burned kernels (I still manage to burn a few from time to time, but only when I walk away and don't spin the arm constantly). 4. Seems to pop almost every kernel as opposed to simply using a large saucepan. 5. Sturdier than some other models. CONS: 1. Doesn't stand up to dishwasher cleaning, and is a little bit of a pain in the behind to clean. 2. Can get a little misshapen and become warped if it gets too hot or you put water in/on it while it's still hot. 3. Kind of pricey for a popcorn popper (well worth it, in my opinion, but it is kind of spendy. TIPS: 1. If you char some kernels in the bottom of the pan, or it just starts to get difficult to clean, use Barkeeper’s Friend (with a Brillo or SOS pad if it's REALLY bad)...it works wonders on these poppers. 2. Set your heat just under medium high and almost every kernel will pop, without scorched bits or smoking and burning. BOTTOM LINE: I have tried every style of popcorn popper out there over the years, and not only does this style top the list, but this particular model is one of the best of its type that I've used. Worth it! Review: Most every kernel popped! - This is a great little popper! It is light duty though but hasn’t given us any issues. We have used it several times and What we like most about this popper is that by turning the handle slowly while under heat it pops literally ever corn kernel. We may get one or two unpopped ones but that’s it! Take care of it and should last a long time. Recommended! ## Features - 1️⃣ 6 quart stovetop popcorn popper makes homemade popcorn in a roomy aluminum pot for movie nights, snacks, and family gatherings. - 2️⃣ Heavy-duty aluminum heats quickly and evenly, helping kernels pop consistently while reducing scorching when stirred properly. - 3️⃣ Hand crank stirring system with all-metal gears keeps kernels moving across the base to help prevent sticking and burning. - 4️⃣ Wooden handle stays comfortable to hold, and four steam ports help release moisture for crisp popcorn with less oil buildup. - 5️⃣ Works on gas, electric, ceramic, and glass stovetops; not induction compatible and not dishwasher safe, wipe clean after use. - - Helpful Tips: If the metal gear gets stuck or does not rotate smoothly, add a little cooking oil for lubrication and turn the handle clockwise and then counterclockwise ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B07PNLP3J9 | | Best Sellers Rank | #17,503 in Kitchen & Dining ( See Top 100 in Kitchen & Dining ) #28 in Popcorn Poppers | | Brand | Cook N Home | | Brand Name | Cook N Home | | Capacity | 6 quarts | | Color | Brushed Aluminum | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 out of 5 stars 4,700 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00813046026268 | | Included Components | 6-Quart Stovetop Popcorn Popper | | Item Dimensions L x W x H | 16.5"L x 9.5"W x 7"H | | Item Highlight | with Metal Gears, Stirring System and Wooden Handle, Aluminum Pop corn Pot for Family Time & Camping | | Item Type Name | Popcorn Popper Pot | | Item Weight | 1.8 pounds | | Manufacturer | Cook N Home | | Material | Aluminum, Wood | | Model Number | 02626 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Part Number | 02626 | | Product Dimensions | 16.5"L x 9.5"W x 7"H | | Special Feature | Gas Stovetop Compatible | | Special Features | Gas Stovetop Compatible | | UPC | 813046026268 | | Warranty Description | 1 year hassle free replacement warranty through cook n home | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Cook N Home - **Capacity:** 6 quarts - **Color:** Brushed Aluminum - **Material:** Aluminum, Wood - **Special Feature:** Gas Stovetop Compatible ## Images ![Aluminum Popcorn Pot, Silver - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71xcz8dqdUL.jpg) ![Aluminum Popcorn Pot, Silver - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71rdkt9qWLL.jpg) ![Aluminum Popcorn Pot, Silver - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71LduPJOOxL.jpg) ![Aluminum Popcorn Pot, Silver - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/814vVnlD70L.jpg) ![Aluminum Popcorn Pot, Silver - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/812Af96PbmL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color, Size** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Where is this product made?** A: I would assume somewhere over seas but it doesn't matter imo. It's good quality and makes very tasty popcorn. I use butter oil to cook the kernels in and as a topping. **Q: Is the popcorn maker magnetized** A: The stainless version I purchased from Amazon is magnetic and works well on our induction cooktop. **Q: Are the gears made of plastic or metal? All these poppers look the same. We had one that looked like this but the plastic gears didn't last long.** A: The gears are metal. Do not let that fool you into thinking that this is a quality product. The fit on the parts is horrible. It took 15 - 20 minutes of bending pieces to make it work acceptably -- the gears did not mesh properly and would slip if there was any resistance. And the stirrer did not reach the bottom of the pan, so it skipped over the popcorn. Buy an original Whirley Pop. Last time I checked, it was the same price. We had one for 15+ years. The only reason we replaced it with this product was because the lid's hinge broke. The nylon gears still showed NO wear after all that usage. I ended up buying some small galvanized hinges to repair the Whirley Pop and tossed the Cook N Home in storage. **Q: My popper's stirring rod doesn't reach far down enough to stir the kernels, so the popcorn comes out burnt. Has anyone else experienced this problem?** A: Have not experienced the issue you have. Mine works perfectly in that respect, the rod is of length it should be however, I sometimes need to adjust the 2 sweeps connected at the bottom of the rod that stirs the kernels. Perhaps you can try that to solve you issue. Otherwise I would contact the seller and send it back providing your purchase date is within the AMAZON return window. It's a great popper and is significantly better than the thin bottom aluminum poppers I have been purchasing every couple of years since the 90's. I am on my second one like this and the only issue I have is the inside bottom of the popper stains with oil and heat. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ POP-ular in our Home! 😁 *by L***Y on February 8, 2020* Fantastic!
