Great product!
Got this per recommendation from my husbands doctor, he suffered a severe traumatic brain injury two years ago at 23. He’s got left side weakness, and muscle contracture. So this brace is great for keeping his hand open, instead of curled up into his palm. We have to use wrist restraints at night, to keep him from messing with his diapers, feeding tube and tracheotomy and these are easily compatible with those straps! They’re really well padded so it’s not bothering him anywhere, and he doesn’t seem to mind wearing it which is important. He’s been through a lot, so anything that makes his life easier, but also doesn’t irritate him is a win in my book!

Pretty perfect
I was a little nervous about trying this due to lack of reviews, i received it today and its absolutely amazing, my wrists bend into curled positions and we have struggled to find braces that are comfortable and supportive enough, these are pretty perfect, and just as good as custom ones! I definitely recommend! For record i am 5’ 2” my hands are really small, and the small size fits very good with some room!

Safety and comfort
The only problem I had was where the thumb goes. The velcro is in the wrong place. It does what the ad says it will do and it was recommended By the OT Therapist .

May not work for everyone
I bought this for my Dad, who lives in a nursing home, at the request of the occupational therapist. His hands are swollen and contracted into tight fists, which they are working on loosening up. Well, he can’t open his hand up enough even to put this on. They called in a specialist, who had to make him a custom item out of paper (see photo) to start, and she had me order a soft hand rest that’s basically a cylinder shaped pillow with finger separators. I’m sending this back. I don’t know if he will ever get to the point that he will be able to use a hard brace like this. So, make sure the person you order this for can open their hand enough to even get it on.

WORKS GREAT
Much better than the one from specialty medical products that cost over 3x the price. Got it and slept with it on that same night. Did not wake up fighting a clenched fist! Comfortable. and my hand feels much better and relaxed. I wear it during the day when I want my hand and arm to relax.

Didn't work
Didn't do what I thought it would. . My husband had a stroke and we were told by OT to get one for his affected hand. It was uncomfortable and now just sits on a table

Comfort +
Item is exactly as described. We needed an extra one for my husband, as the one he was sent home with was getting worn. Comparing this one to the one he was sent home, I much prefer this one, fits his hand much better and the straps are more durable and softer. I would highly recommend.

Fabric becomes slippery
I have paralysis of the left side body, which makes my hand grasp tightly at bedtime. I have tried a couple different brands of these, I had high Hope's for this one. But after using it for 1 month every night, the fabric and straps got slippery and my hand/arm started slipping out of the brace, I would tighten it as tight as it could go but to no avail same thing would happen. The straps seemed like it would keep my arm and hand in position but it got worse and worse. And to note I can only sleep on my back because of my disability so it's not because I move around in bed a lot. I lay my arm on a pillow and just with slightest change of pressure it starts slipping off then it causes me to grasp my hand and I cant relax. I do not put lotion on before bed so it's not because of this either.
