These Fish Do Not Work
Okay, here's the thing about these fish - for being plastic toys, they require a LOT of maintenance! I got these because I wanted something fun for my cats to look at but that I didn't have to deal with on a daily basis. Well, forget about it, I deal with these guys on a minute-by-minute basis! Don't get me wrong, they're the cutest things when they actually work, but they only work when you have a TON of filtration and bubbles in your tank and if you have internal filters like I do? Forget it. Their little tails and fins get sucked into the grooves every three seconds and I have to take a giant fork - which is my aquatic version of "the belt" - and fish them out again - EVERY MINUTE. I've tried everything I can think of to stop it from happening and it doesn't work. I really like how cute they are, but I get so mad I end up yelling at them and they're friggin' plastic, so either I'm going nuts or I should just give up and get real fish tomorrow.

Glad they have different densities
I'd read reviews on fish that were all exactly the same (i.e., they clump together), so I wanted a set with different fish. All tend to "swim" at the top except the angel fish (the white one), which migrates to the bottom and stays there. My daughter loves them, and has named them all. The bottom fin of the angel fish, though, tends to get stuck in the gravel at the bottom of the fish tank.

Simple but cute
They float to the top and then are pushed down occasionally by the current from the filter. We just have a 2 gallon tank so it seemed that 5 was too much as 3 were stuck in a group on the top...when it's just 3, it's better. We've had bad luck with real fish so this is just what we needed!

Floating Plastic Fish
This fish are NOT a favorite. They look just like the presentation on paper; however, they only float on the top of the water...making a fake fish PRESENT as fake. Not very effective when I am trying to convince little children that I have a real fish aquarium. I know, you may say, "Go out and get REAL fish..." but much too busy to maintain a real tank. I was hoping to get a similar effect; but no so much with these little ones. LOOKS? They are cute! Just not functional.

Looks good, cheap, no maintenance
Pros: Well painted, brightly colored, cheap, no maintenance, they float at different levels in the tank and move around in the water filter current, which adds to the realism. They also don't eat, poop, fight with each other or die. Ever!Cons: None yet.Other thoughts: Don't expect them to move around on their own with little motorized fins for your entertainment. Remember - cheap (but good) decorations!

Great fish for 3 year old fishing game
Glued some paperclips onto these, they didn't float because of the extra weight. I use these for a fishing game for a 2 year old mermaid party. it was a hit. They loved the fact that they were catching fish. I imagine they would have floated if I put them in a fish tank that had a pump as stated.
