Perfect fit. Be aware, these are single use locking pins. Once installed into the black transmission filler tube cap, the top flat (red) tab will have to be broken off to remove the black filler tube cap. Also in order to proper set these locking red pins, make sure the black cap is fully seated onto the filler tube BEFORE installing the red locking pin.

Fits like OWM and looks like OEM on my w210 mercedes and others I have used it on. Allows me to check trans fluid etc and put it back to 'factory' look. Wish they were a bit cheaper or gave you more but it is what it is

These locks didn't work for me (see original review below), but now that I ordered and have received a new CAP and O-ring and lock-pin set, I can see WHY these pins didn't work for me originally: the original cap had been damaged somehow when I removed it. There's supposed to be a small "hook" part of the cap that descends down and catches the lip of the filler tube, and then the lock pin presses against that hook to make it lock tightly against the tube lip. My removed original cap was missing that hook; must've broken off when I removed the original lock pin. Anyway, now that I have the complete kit in hand, I can see that these Dorman replacement pins are identical to what cam in the kit, and WILL indeed work properly to lock the hook of the replacement cap against the filler tube. I'm updating my review to 5-stars so that others aren't discouraged from buying them. ---------- Original 2-star review below ---------- I don't can't quite figure WHY these don't work for my 2009 MB CL600 transmission dipstick. When I bought it recently, it was clear that the OEM cover on the dipstick tube had never been "popped" since new. It was locked on solidly with the original black plastic locking tab. I broke off that tab and ordered these red locking pin replacements. After draining and replacing the transmission fluid, I used one of these lock pins to re-lock the OEM cap onto the dipstick tube. It seemed to slide into and fit the OEM top perfectly ... but the cap isn't in fact locked onto the dipstick tube. I can still easily pull the top off. No "click"; nothing. And I'm a little concerned that air pressure inside the transmission might cause the top to pop off (tho' it's been for a few long drives so far with the unlocked top staying put). I'm going to place an order for a new top and lock, but was really hoping these inexpensive lock pins would do the trick.

Used only a couple out of the pack. Prefer not to use and just push down on cap. It stays in place.
