Very "bacony". Has a slight artificial taste, but will work for sauces and probably salads. It is plant-based, my biggest reason for buying.

I love these crunchy bacon bits. I use them in salads, I use them with chives for rolling my cheeseball on for Christmas, to name a few things I use them for. Some grocery stores don’t carry them. I was glad that I found them on Amazon.

I became vegetarian for health reasons. These saved me from meat cravings. I can add them to anything. I have bought this product several times.

These taste pretty good for what they are, although they are far saltier than actual bacon bits, and they also have a sort of ashy flavor to them that’s rather unpleasant when eating more than a few at a time (I’m guessing liquid smoke or something similar). So, this doesn’t leave many good foods to eat them with, because the saltiness will overpower pretty much all subtle flavors the food might have, unless you use way less than you think you need. The texture is fine though, very crunchy and gritty, but not exactly disgusting either, just very dry tasting overall. Despite my complaints, however, I will commend the larger size of the bacon flavored bits container, especially relative to its low price compared to other brands. So, if you aren’t picky about eating very high quality seasoning, or eating “bacon flavored bits” rather than real bacon bits, then I’d say buying this is probably worth it, especially if it’s on sale. Otherwise, I’d just spend the extra money to get real bacon bits instead, because they are much better tasting and more filling, and don’t taste like salted sand 1/4 of the time.
