Good struts with easy install.
These black hood struts are a great upgrade! Installation was simple with well-detailed instructions, making the process smooth. Just a heads-up—you’ll need a high-quality rivet gun, but everything fits perfectly once installed. The struts are very strong, which is great for securely holding the hood open. However, they do create some spring pressure against the hood latches, causing the hood to push up slightly when driving over bumps. It’s not a real issue, but it can feel a little unexpected at first. Overall, these are durable, high-quality struts that make opening the hood effortless. The sleek black finish looks fantastic and blends in well. Highly recommended!

Installed these on my 1970 FJ40, super easy install! Great installation instructions and man what a way to open the hood! Boing! its open! easy to close! If you what to have the hood fully open it is super easy to disconnect and reconnect when needed! great product!

Great instructions. Easy installation.
I am a FJ40 purist, however, the Redline Quicklift strut kit is a MUST for the FJ. Easy installation and detailed instructions. The heavy hood is now light as a feather!!
