Not the same quality as the old royal albert
This set is made from Indonesia. I have 2 sets made from England and the quality is much better. The size of the plates are not as described (10.6”) and noticeably smaller than the ones made from England.

Beautiful set
I had a service for 4 and I wanted to increase it to a service for 8 for a wedding at the bridal table. Plates matched my set perfectly and were sent in perfect condition.

Sizing and matching to inherited plates from over 25 years ago was perfect. I was most concerned about chips or damage from shipping, but they arrived in pristine condition. I needed another 4 plates with the growth of family for a special dinner. My mom and I have always used a gentle dishwasher powder, not the stuff you use for everyday use, so the gold has been preserved. I use Norwex, but I’m sure another gentle soda would work. Just make sure the plates are not touching, just like doing other things like fine crystal in the dishwasher. Couldn’t find the plates locally, so looked on Amazon. Very happy with my purchase!
