PentelArts Tradio Stylo Sketch Pen Refills, Black, Box of 12 (MLJ20-A)

Personally, I love this pen. Despite the expensive shell, it's a cheap, but very good pen to sketch with.I also have a rOtring pen sketch pen as well, and as satisfied as I am with it it lacks character. To an extent, each nib is different. I've had some that would flick than others, some more flat no matter the angle. The quality is consistent, but there's enough differences between them that bring a new perspective to me.Each refill I've used has never been dry, at least in my experience, and I still have a few refills left from my last pack from over 3 years ago.

In life, a good product is that which you are not afraid to wear down. These pens release lots of ink and therefore write boldly. Tips are a firm, felted quality which can deform if you press too hard. These pens use up quickly so the longevity of the tips is not an issue. Ink is of the highest quality and does not bleed through the page.

I have been sketching with this pen for the past year, the nib allows me to use three sides of the nib, while also sketches that require cross hatching and shading. The ink quantity is marginal as one has to have refills handy and available.The black color of the ink is specific, with marginal waterproof.

The Tradio Stylo pen has become my favorite everyday pen of choice -- and I carry one with me all the time (in my purse, in my pocket, wherever I can find it fast and keep it safe). Buying the refills by the box was definitely the wise choice, as it brought the price down considerably and made sure I would never have a dry pen. If you are proud of your penmanship (the Catholic nuns taught me well) -- this pen is a great way to show it off.

Can’t wait to use

Purchased this box to refill my MLJ20 pen and these are junk, finally needed to crack it open and one was DOA won't write, the next is just not exactly great. As an artist I need tools that are reliable and these are not.
