Omix-Ada | 17206.05 | Speedometer Cluster, 5-85 MPH | OE Reference: 5761110 | Fits 1980-1986 Jeep CJ5 / CJ7 / CJ8

Installed this new speedometer in my 1984 CJ7. Fits and looks like the original. I was concerned about replacing the old speedometer because of the zero miles on the new odometer. If I ever sell the Jeep I just need to provide the Odometer Disclosure at the title transfer. I did take pictures to document the old odometer reading with the VIN and the new speedometer. I should have put in a new speedometer years ago. My needle was very jumpy and the gas guage did not work properly even after installing a new sending unit. With this new cluster everything is working great.

First of all I'll say that the product is very pretty, looks great. That's where the praise stops. While the speedometer looks and fits great it's poorly designed. Cluster lights are in a place where it's illumination is not good. Light filters are not good so the turn indicators are a strange yellowish color. Fuel and temp gauges are not really lit at all unless you're brake is set which leads me to the light bleed over aspect. Every one bleeds over and screws up the lighting all together. While as far as I can tell the fuel and temp gauges read correctly there is something wrong with the ground on the fuel indicator because when you turn on the running lights it jumps up slightly. Speed indicator needle bounces like crazy due to the poor and cheap design of the mechanism. I scraped my omix one for parts to improve my original and I think that that is the only thing this is good for. Definitely not worth the money. Salvage your original if at all possible... Otherwise this item is just for looks but everything is slightly different from an original and it's painfully obvious when you look at them together. Save your money.

Speedometer works but the odometer doesn’t, fuel gauge bounces around. Pay the extra few bucks for a quality one.

Very nice product and quality. Worked fine right out of box. Speedometer needle still bounces like OEM. If they were to fix that, would be 5/5.

Not a quality replacement part. The temperature gauge did not work from the beginning. The speedometer failed soon after. The speed needle does not return to zero, useless as a speedometer. Had to purchase an add-on GPS speedometer until I can remove the "new" speedometer above the A/C unit. The search continues for a quality replacement.

Speedo works good. Lighting is dim but acceptable. Fuel gauge only goes to 3/4 and temp gauge doesn’t move. 4 wheel light isn’t blocked all the way and gauge lights bleed over into it all the time keeping it dimly lit. Ended up installing capillary gauge for temp and external fuel gauge mounted under dash. It does look nice but that’s where any positive comment ends. Installed in 81 CJ5. Seems like everyone is having problems with these so I’ll just leave it and cut my losses.

It's installed but not working exactly right. It may be the fault of the installer. Who knows. Someday I'll fix it.

Put this in my CJ7, unfortunately its in miles on the large numbers and I needed KM but now the guages all work again . Good product for the price.

My original Speedo and odometer worked perfectly. The temp and fuel gauge did not. Tested and found the over no good so bought this new assembly. Looks good and just now went for a drive. Speedo bounces by 10 mph and does not go above 45 til long fiery your at top speed but only shows 50 bouncing around. The fuel gauge pears reading right at half tank but now it registers full. Wait now 1/2 gain. Went and filled tank and still half BUT I put in 12 gallons so was almost empty. Really dissapointed especially now to late to return. Getting tired of being ripped off by aftermarket parts
