Used to repair a tent seam and the leather seat seam on my mini cooper. The repair was difficult, but the kit was good. It had all necessary equipment.

I just stabbed the ever loving crap out of my finger with the blunt end of a sewing needle because whoever slapped this kit together had use the cheapest excuse for a thimble ever in existence. How much does a proper thimble cost, like 5 cents?Avoid this productEdit, I changed my mind, the product is actually decent, I just didn't know how to sew leather. The leather punch is great and I actually like the kit now, but I'm giving it 3 star cuz c'mon man a full size thimble would've made an excellent kit, and yes I will die on that hill, thimble hill lol.Edit, edit, screw you, I hate their pathetic excuse for a thimble, thanks to because of whoever decided to be economical I now have multiple blunt end sewing needle stab wounds on my fingers, all because 5 cent thimble was too much to add to this kit.My wish is for everyone that had a hand in assembling this kit to suffer the same fate as I, frustration and pain when trying to relax doing a beloved hobby.

This kit is pretty decent for the price range. The thread is not much to write home about, it's thin and weak, unlike other upholstery kits with the waxy thick heavy duty thread that won't fray as much when using. Other than that I'm sure it would suit you well stitching up the mouths of any screamer you got held captive in the basement or dungeon or screened in patio. Or maybe your into taxiderming the neighborhood pets. It should hold up to that as well..or if you have some damaged furniture I suppose you could repair some upholstery with it..., but who actually does that....no one... exactly...

I used the heavy duty needles to sow the tip of a boot to more life out of it. The local shoe repair could not do it. A 6$ kit goes a long way.

Love that it had some of the tools that a beginner will use.

Used this to sew up a few heavy duty items: outdoor cushions, car seat, and chair. All are holding up well!
