Nakshatra - The Authentic Heart of Vedic Astrology [DiCara, Vic] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. Nakshatra - The Authentic Heart of Vedic Astrology Review: Excellent! - Love, love, love this book! The nakshatras are so important yet so difficult to understand. The traditional ways they are interpreted seems (at least to me) such a grab bag of different characteristics (deva, planetary ruler, gunas, animal yoni, etc. etc.). Vic DiCara really, as he says, gets to the heart of the matter both in this book and elsewhere, including the videos he has published. Nakshatras comprise the lunar zodiac so it makes sense that they are more elusive than the solar zodiac (for example, there is not a clear structure in terms of elements and modalities). You really have to tap into the mythology and open to more right-brained or heart-centered understanding. DiCara has such a human and personal interpretation of the mythology--so refreshing. He is not just regurgitating the facts, but these facts really mean something to him and to how we live our lives. For those wanting an even deeper dive (which is something I am still doing), I'd encourage you all to explore how these gods/goddesses evolved as parts of other religions and religious traditions as well (e.g. Zoroastrianism and Buddhism both include the Vedic deities and I believe their role in those traditions also gives information about the mythic themes of these nakshatras). Review: Clean, simple, and easy to understand! - Before finding this and 27 Stars, 27 Gods I was lost due to life circumstances that I could have never foreseen coming. It opened my eyes and gave me access to a whole new world that only existed in my dreams. My fear of the unknown decreased due to the clarity gained through the simplicity of the explanations of the nakshatras, gods, symbolism, etc. The universal connection to other theories and the combination of resources used allowed me to see the greater picture of events taking place in my life and how the materials needed to create prosperity lie within. It presents a wide range of knowledge and combines them without judgment that one concept is superior to the other allowing room for growth and expansion of ideas that has the power to create unity for all. Thanks, Vic

Have a question about Life? Here is the answer!
Powerful, simple, crisp clear.. Finally, an unfiltered by agenda translation of the Nakshatra Sutra's (rule or scripture); 27 of them! Shows the exact Sanskrit, the translation along with discussion and a Life Lesson from each. There is so much power in this book, you don't have to even understand Jyotish to benefit. Vic is the 'Authentic Heart' of bringing Vedic Astrology to our modern world. Namaste'

Best rendition of the Nakshatras
I am so relieved for this book. I have read a lot of books on the Nakshatra. One of the things about Mr. DiCara is his delivery of the information brings the gods incarnate as Marion Woodman would say. It isn't just a list of data. It is an embodied, creative sharing of a living philosophy. This is the easiest way to assimilate the nature of the nakshatras. Excellent for new and experienced astrologers. I plan on using this book as my main reference with his other book 27 Stars 27 Gods. Together they give one a firm foundational knowledge.

Unique, but incomplete.
Dicara is in a special position, he obviously has a grasp of Sanskrit, and as such he writes a very unique work on the Nakshatras. However, his explanations are minimal, he could have put more info into each nakshatra. The sutras from the Rg Veda are themselves very minimal, so in a way perhaps its appropriate. But that means that this is not the last stop for all things Nakshatra. Following him on Ytube I have found that he seems privy to more unique info on this subject, that he could have put into this book. DO NOT start your study of Nakshatras with this book. Learn about them for a year or so first, then read this book. It is only useful if you already have a grasp of the energies of the 27 sections of the Galactic Zodiac. Start by reading the free PDF by Ernst WIlhelm, its the best starting place.

Vedic Star Brilliance
Much more than a multi layered read and delivery of Nakshatra, Vic DiCara also couples his books with an extensive catalogue of YouTube content you can use to deepen your grasp of the material. As a beginner in Vedic Astrology I’m pleased to have found this encoded poetry first, through these sutras and their careful interpretations. Highly recommended for those who want to develop awareness of the stars, their influence and their “life lessons” as DiCara suggests. Also included is the original composed Sanskrit for those of us who appreciate all the layers of learning possible.
