Works for NES, SNES, but not Sega Genesis Gen 1
I ordered this originally because I needed new adapters for my NES and SNES. It seemed to work well for both of them. One minor niggle is that they cannot both be plugged in at the same time (even if one of them is off, but that didn't go into my rating decision, since this is technical and not completely unexpected, even for an original adapter). The cords are a little bit short, making it troublesome to locate the consoles very far more than 4ft from an outlet. If you don't mind using extension cords or have your console close to the outlet, this shouldn't be a problem. My biggest complaint is that the description states that it works with the generation 1 Sega Genesis. I found this to be exceedingly inaccurate. My console appears to power on, but it does not boot. After some investigation, it was found that this adapter's voltage under load goes down way too much to run the Genesis. Background: This is a switched mode power supply, where the original NES and SNES adapters were linear unegulated (transformer-rectifier) power supplies. The OEM NES power supply output AC rather than DC, but the NES could safely accept DC input (which is why this device works). The Genesis could only accept DC input, meaning a Gen 1 Genesis power supply is safe to use on a NES but you shouldn't use an OEM NES power supply for a Genesis.

Does not fit NES
I have an original Nintendo that needs a new power supply as the original no longer works. As seen in the pictures, the plug is not the same type at all as the original and will certainly not work with an NES.
