Is this is an IPS screen or just basic TN?

Because Amazon groups two models together, there is some confusion.  The 27" model is a TN display.  The 24" model is what Samsung calls "PLS", which is very similar to "IPS".  (Or in other words, the 24" version is a better screen technology than the 27" version.)

Will this monitor have mounting holes on the back panel for a wall mount?

There's an adapter for it http://www.gladiatorjoe.com/searchquick-submit.sc?keywords=U28D590D but I don't like that it sticks out on the bottom. Even the Monoprice 4k monitor has a Vesa mount, what a shame Samsung

What is the resolution of this monitor?

Most video cards cant handle this 4k resolution.. gtx 970 can handle at lower texture..gtx  980 can almost max out.  The gtx1080 is almost double the power of the 980 and can max out the graphics at 60fps in most games.
