Works well, but.....
I'm using it to staple targets up at the range. I've only cycled about 200 7/16" staples through the staple gun so far, but here are my first impressions:Pros:1) It's compact & light weight, and works well for a medium duty staple gun2) Most, but not all staples sink flush into the wafer board. I can't necessarily blame the staple gun for no sinking all staples flush since the target board is pretty flimsy in places!Cons:1) It doesn't take a whole strip of Arrow T50 staples! This inconvenience is greatly aggravated since once the staples are inserted and pushed down by the spring loaded follower, they won't come back out. The rails that support the staples are relatively wide, and unlike others I've had experience with, the staples don't slide freely. It very aggravating since once staples are inserted, if the spring loaded follower won't go in far enough to latch, the only option is to fire the staple gun until while holding the follower in place until it will latch. This is really quit hilarious, and a little embarrassing at a gun range, while others are firing real guns, I'm "firing" my d@mn staple gun!2) The wire bail that is supposed to hold the handle down, is useless. It holds the handle down as long as the "gun" is setting up, but as soon as you put the gun in a tool or range bag, the bail slips off and up pops the handle!

Suited my purposes
I wanted to recover a chair seat. This is an inexpensive staple gun, but it works well for my purposes. I have to say the instructions are very sparse and I never could figure out how to use the strip of nails that came with the staple gun. I finally just threw those out and used the traditional square staples. It is hard to squeeze, or my hands aren't very strong. But, I did get the chair covered and have used the staple gun for a couple of other projects and it worked well. I would recommend it for anyone with craft projects or simple jobs like covering a chair seat or building a prefab bookcase.

Apollo Precision Tools DT0740 Staple Gun with Staples
Staple gun arrived without the advertised included staples (3 different types of staples were supposed to have been included). Called customer service at Apollo and had much difficulty getting through. Finally talked to their one representative and she told me they do not do business in Hawaii. However, she made an exception and sent a box of staples (just one kind). Meanwhile, I bought a box of staples at Ace Hardware and proceeded to use the staple gun for a couple of projects. The staple gun works very well and appears to be of good quality, even though made in China. Because of Apollo's policy of not doing business in Hawaii (we are a state, after all), I probably would not buy another Apollo product in the future.

Pretty strong stapler
I bought this to staple chicken wire to pressure treated pine 4x6s. I bought 3/8 in staples. Most of the staples went in pretty well. I don't know if the stapler just isn't perfect every time or the wood was too hard in certain places, but it was good enough. Usually, if I just gave it another try, the next one would go in. Considering the price and the fact that I used it for a project that needed a hefty stapler, I am very happy with this product.

It's certainly heavy duty!
This is heavy duty. I'd even go so far as to say it can almost be considered a power tool. You can use it for woodwork, depending on the type of woodwork, but I wouldn't use it to pin messages on bulletin boards. Also, be sure to use the right staples, or it'll jam up the gun, and probably even damage it permanently.

broken!
This is a good staple gun for small stuff. I was using it for wires/cables and repairing furniture. It was working fine and while I was adjusting the pressure, I loosened it too much and the knob and spring popped out. After that, it was impossible to put it back in there. It is stupid that this does not have some kind of safety mechanism for not letting that happen. Especially when it happens, it is irreversible.

Good deal
I used this to line a pet cage with plastic sheeting. It is a nice small and light-weight size for inside projects. It did not jam up and is easy to use. You do not need to be very strong to squeeze the handle. Another review warned that the knob flew off into their face. This is avoidable with the proper tension on the pressure adjustment (by simply screwing the knob in far enough). My brother has the same one and has used it for countless projects on his house with no problems. For the price this is a great product.

Rugged staple gun for a fantastic price
This Apollo staple gun is a very well made medium duty stapler suitable for a variety of tasks. The pressure is adjustable, and will staple into most wood surfaces. The main "feature" of this staplegun is the fantastic price, for the price I don't think you'll find another staple gun that is as well made, as rugged,as the Apollo. Some reviews have stated that replacement staples are not available, not to worry, the Apollouses the widely available T50 3/8-inch flat top staple (Arrow 506IP Genuine T50 3/8-Inch Staples).
