AniMed Vita-Calm Horse Care, 2 Pound Container

This product really works to keep my high energy, sensitive horse calm.

My horse is fairly mellow but this supplement makes him even more mellow.Good price, but the price for the large size could be better.

Really good supplement! My proud cut Paint horse is much calmer and focused when on this. He's about 900 pounds and I give him 3 scoops on top of his feed. The effect lasts for about 4 hours. He tends to yawn like he's tired but only when he's waiting for me to ride him. Once saddled up he performs sharp and alert. Good stuff.

Product works well generally. I did end up needing rx because my horse was hotter than could be managed after a while with rehab with stall rest. Great for use when movement is not as restricted or horse has more room to move around. My horse is very large and hates being in as he is usually in pasture. When he is out in pasture, the effects are very noticeable when I give this supplement to him. He is not generally a hot horse. Did need to give a higher dose to him that may have been about size.

Started a mare on this while in training to help her with the stress of getting hauled every week. She was great at home but VERY reactive in new environments. She got so worked up that she couldn't focus for very long and had big explosions. After being on the supplement for a month I noticed a huge change. She has become relaxed and willing. When she does get worked up, she only does briefly and can go back to focusing very quickly. I love this product! I had this mare for a year before I started her on vita calm, and I was getting ready to sell her. Now she's our favorite! I'm adding it to my other horses' grain before our show season starts and I can't wait to see the results!!

Used this for quite sometime and it had very little effect in calming my horse so I switched to another brand with good results.

This product works quickly and gently. There is no dullness or strange behavior.

I have never tried any products like this before. We have a old mare who does not like change, especially introducing new herd members. Adding our last new horse was horrendous and keeping Miss Crabby pants separate was not a great long term plan. This is not my first into of new horses, this mare has just gotten worse with age. We added this product to her diet at 1/2 dose for about a week with everyone fence sniffing each other. Then over a long weekend we gave her a full dose and allowed her out with the herd. She was still not great but at least was not chasing everyone around incessantly and by the end of the weekend I felt safe leaving her with the herd.
