This Solved our Odor & Taste Problem
A plumber installed our Insta-Hot after our Franke Little Butler died after 14 years. It came from the factory with the F-1000 filter. The water that came out of it smelled and tasted terrible. I called customer service and asked if the F-2000 would solve the odor/taste issue, and they said it would not. So they sent a plumber to install a brand new unit.The odor and taste remained the same...horrible. So out of desperation I ordered this F-2000 filter. It immediately produced delicious tasting water and solved the issue. It's a little pricey considering an equivalent GE, which I have on my refrigerator, is only $30. But it solved our problem. I wish the factory knew this. Installs in less than a minute with no need to turn off the water. Highly recommended!

Great for your sinkerator
Important to have to filter your hot water. Not to expensive either but makes the water taste a whole lot better. Nice part is it’s east to put on, fits well.

I AM VINDICATED!!!
I know you're reading this review just to see what other nutty things I might say. What I'm referring to is installation. The instructions in the box refer to arrows and counterclockwise, blah blah. Well, I've been replacing this filter in my Insinkerator for years and couldn't figure out why my process didn't jibe with the instructions. I finally went online and found the current instructions* are totally different and match what I've been doing. Why are they still including outdated instructions? So annoying.*I'm selling my house so wanted to leave correct guidance for the new homeowners. Easier than crossing out the incorrect info and writing in red "Don't do this! Do this instead."

Makes water “light”
When changed at regular intervals, the filter does exactly what expected it. The drinks water from my tap is softer and tastes lighter. It’s also a good price value compared to the filters that you need to replace more often on water pitchers.
