great remote
This is a great remote but it would be nice if it actually could turn things on and off at preset times. All it does is turn off x hours from when you turn it on so its not a set it and forget it control - time wise and thats how i use it. I do not use the temp or humidity controls . unfortunately the temp/humidity sensors are in the box/remote and there is no provision for installing remote sensors. But, it save me from having to go out and manually turn the stuff on so I like it but it could be better!

Worked for 1 month and stopped working. Return window closed
This worked great for one month. Loved it but then it stopped working. It would not turn fan on and off auto or manual. Amazon return is now closed. I will contact ELiving. I will update review if I get satisfaction. I used it with the ELiving 10" fan so that should not have been a problem. Update: I talked to them and they were very friendly and going to replace this unit. I will update when that occurs. I do Love this product. Update: I received a new product and it is working great. The company was very responsive and did send out a new unit.

GREAT complement to the iLiving exhaust fans! Easy install!
Bought this with the 21” iliving fan. I wish I would have bought them together at the same time. This kit has all you need to hook up your fan including a plug for your fan. It’s a simply easy install.....and you can control your fan remotely or take advantage of the remote settings. If you get an iLiving exhaust fan....get this to go with it!

Does not stay working!!! Just fails, super bummer!
Have 2 16" fans, decided to get 1 to see how they do it died within 3 days of use in dry 80 deg fahrenheit weather, the 2nd fan I used a manual remote to turn it on/off as needed. Before the 1st one died I had liked what it was doing so much I bought 2 more controllers, 1 to replace the manual control and 1 for backup. Lucky for me I ordered these 2 additional and they arrived literally the same day I sent the 1st failed one back. So now this 2nd pair is installed on both fans for the last 2 weeks literally as of this writing and last night in 70 deg fahrenheit weather the controller that replaced the 1st failed one now decides to quit. Literally at the best time. The 3rd controller as of this writing is still working, I do not expect it will for much longer as looking at recent reviews seems we are all getting a bad batch. I was hoping that I wouldn't be getting bad ones but, nope here we are. I really wanted this setup and I am very disappointed because when this thing is working it is great and super simple to just set the temp or humidity or timer and your done. Product works very well when working but, the failure out of the blue with no warnings or anything is going to frustrate. I really wish they had a working product. I have been researching and it seems the only way to do this like they did is with raspberry pi and of course I do not know how to with that but, after this I want this features and willing to give it a go.

100 deg F, max temp setting! Not enough features.
Highest Temp setting for switching fan off is 100 deg F, which is not high enough for attic, so in summer the fan never shuts off in the hot attic in Hot climates. Also no sumer and winter progamable features for both seasons. The controler reads air temp in attic and where the controller is mounted. Would be better if it read outdoor air temp and kept the attic space at or just above the temp of outdoor space tempature. If it’s hotter than 100 deg outside the fan will never shut off so it will run up your electric bill. It’s better than the cheap thermostats set in the attic, but not smart enough and there are cellphone app smart fan controlers that are much better programmable.

Simple install...
Just installed this controller to use with a 10" iLiving exhaust fan in my work shop. Install was simple. Took me longer to install the batteries in the remote than to install the module! Easy operation and eliminates the need for separate humidistat, timer, and speed control. Well worth the exceptional price!

I worked well (although the remote is not obvious to use) for about 1 year. Then it died. This was the second unit I bought. Seeing other reviews it seems quite frequent that this unit is dying after working for about a year or more. I don't think I am going to buy another one. I don't trust it any more...

Ordered up two of these for ceiling exhaust fans . Worked as they should for around 10 months and then both failed within two weeks of each other . Junk ! Not worth the money for that amount of functional time

I am very disapointed about this "smart" remote control kit. No where it is mention that it will NOT COME BACK after a power lost. Even a small one. I confirm with iLIVING support and it works this way. So this is absolute JUNK. I think this is my worst review of all I made. Make you a favor and buy a 5$ normal heating thermostat (yes the yellish one with the knob) you'll be better than this "smart" one. And I can't put a light UPS on it because my fan is 1/3hp. If you use it in a greenhouse or somewhere that you have to rely on it will let you down one day or the other. Keywords purpose: power outage, power lost, electricity lost.
