A very helpful book
Though this book is written by Melinda Rolf, it is really about the ground-breaking work of Dr. William R. Davis, a Milwaukee-based American cardiologist and author of health books known for his stance against "modern wheat", which he calls a "perfect, chronic poison." In reading you learn about how wheat has changed over the years and the consequences of genetically modifying crops meant for our consumption. You understand how it is the quality of food choices which really affects your weight and not necessarily the amounts of food you are eating. Backed with scientific evidence, you learn that removing wheat based foods actually controls your appetite, regulates your blood sugar and reduces your overall calorie consumption. Obviously, as the title suggests, the primary premise of this diet is to remove wheat, and we assume that is bread and flour products such as pasta, etc. But I also learned that gluten, which is the protein found in wheat, is in many foods I never would have suspected, and who knew that vodka and whiskey are made from wheat? This diet is easy to follow once you understand who the culprits are. I especially enjoyed the FAQ at the end of the book, as it answered my questions and the recipes were a nice bonus.

BE ADVISED.....SERIOUSLY RIPPED OFF....THIS A BROCHURE SIZE PAMPHLET...ONLY 24 PAGES AND THAT IS WITH OVERSIZED PRINT AND LARGE SPACES BETWEEN PARAGRAPHS...PAID OVER 8 DOLLARS FOR THIS SNIPPET AND ONLY 7 DOLLARS FOR THE FULL BLOWN 292 PAGE WHEAT BELLY BOOK BY DR. DAVIS WHICH IS OUTSTANDING AND A TERRIFIC BARGIN...A MUST READ...NEEDLESS TO SAY VERY SCANT INFO IN MELINDAS. ! IM CONVINCED THAT THE OTHER REVIEWS WERE WRITTEN BY FRIENDS OF MELINDA ROLF. I WOULD RETURN IT BUT NOT WORTH THE HASSEL PLUS I WOULD LOSE MONEY ON SHIPPING. TAKE OUT THE LAGE PRINT AND BIG BLANK SPACES AND YOUVE GOT ABUT 10 PAGES OF GENERAL INFO. THIS IS THE FIRST NEGATIVE REVIEW IVE EVER WRITTEN BUT I FEEL THE PUBLIC HAS RIGHT TO KNOW. P.S. NOW I KNOW WHY I COULD NOT LOOK ON THE INSIDE OF THIS BOOK....

I think this book would be great for someone who is determined to try this diet. However, it is way to strick for me and because I do not haveany tummy problems, I will probably give this diet up as a lost cause.

I can't complain as it was .99 and that's about what it was worth.. Great encourage photo on the front of the book, but the info inside is limited in its scope and accuracy.

This book is very helpful for those who wanted to lose weight the right way. It has tips and recipes on how to have the ideal weight you wanted to achieve. Also, it has explained what are the foods to avoid in gaining weight.

Love the recipes at the end. Very simple yet sound delicious. Cant wait to try. It was very informative book and I have a good understanding of what wheat belly diet is and how I can practically follow this diet.
