Most efficient happy medium, least expensive, worked well
My laptop with its 17" screen just did not fit well in the soft case bags, even when it advertised able to hold a laptop this size, the edges were right against the soft exterior material. Add to that a few inches of legal and medical files, periodic need to have a 2nd laptop with me, plus the a/c adapters, mice, facemasks, gloves, there was no way to get all of that into a soft rolling bag. Downside: It is cheaply made, the lock/latches are finicky, combination lock rollers ratchety, when its really loaded (30lbs) the plastic handle just feels like its about to snap going up stairs carrying it. That all said, for the price, it hasn't failed me yet. When this one's worn out, hopefully at least a year from now, I will go into a huskier model, knowing it'll cost 3x/money. These locks would never keep someone from popping it open if stolen, but they do work for keeping prying eyes out, or informing me that someone's gone into my bag without my permission, a problem in the past. I'm satisfied so far with the purchase, you get what you pay for, I just underestimated the need a bit. Also, I wish it had more pockets inside, maybe at least one divider in the middle rather than just one large spacious compartment. If budget is tight, this will do.

Great Bag
Arrived within two days but l have Prime. I am a clinical research nurse, and l needed a large computer bag with wheels. I tried regular bags, but l was unable to fit all my supplies and computer inside. I decided to try this. The bag itself is nice and large enough to fit my laptop, cord, patient binders, patient supplies, iPad, cell phone and personal items. It rolls well, and there are plenty of compartments inside the bag with a couple more on each side. It seems durable! The locks seem well made and easy to use.

Alpine Swiss Let Down
I have been a fan of Alpine Swiss bags for decades. During that time I have had two Alpine Swiss laptop bags the last of which has been handed down to my teenage son just this fall. Great quality and loved the durability. Straight up awesome productsContrast 2022:This purchase was my one ask for a Christmas present and a definite let down. Looks sharp enough in the product images but I but when I pulled it from the box I became skeptical about how it would hold up. After opening the lid a couple of times, the "hinge" area on the telescoping handle side of the bag was found to be pretty inflexible and began to show wear after just a few open/closes.This tote was meant to house my work files and devices and was used no more than 10 days from purchase--that is generous. The poor quality construction of this tote is really astounding to me. I expected the same positive experience I have previously had with Alpine Swiss products but, alas, like so many manufacturers it seems that Alpine Swiss product quality has devolved over the decades.I won't belabor the point further. The pictures show what just 10 days of use will do. On the upside, the locks are not only functional, they are really pretty! I guess that is where all the quality was focused... I WOULD NEVER BUY THIS AGAIN and doubt I will be brave enough to make another Alpine Swiss purchase. Oh, so disappointed.
