SRC Color-Pro 32 Oz, Semi-Clear Polyurethane Casting Resin

Works well and casting is nice but warn u it gets hot when it reacts.

I've had a few pieces turn out rubbery or porous. Use as little pigment as possible, and it turns out great. Start laying the color in and problems seem to occur. Knowing that, I will most likely order it again.

So this is actually pretty good resin. I’m an artist and I use resin for casting in molds-usually pretty shallow. I usually use Amazing Casting Resin in white. It’s a quick curing resin that turns white when it cures. But that has gotten really hard to find. So I have this a whirl, and it was fine. A lot of people are saying that this is white; that’s not true. It only turns white if you DON’T MIX IT COMPLETELY! Once you mix the two parts together you MUST stir it; I would say for at least 30 seconds. Keep in mind the mixing speeds up the chemical reaction and will reduce your working time. But if you mix in small amounts you won’t have any problem. You can de-mold in about 15 minutes and they will still be a bit flexible and come out easily. After about 30-40 minutes they will be rigid but still come out easily. They paint up beautifully, and adhered to my furniture with e6000 glue. I made 450 molds between 1-6” Hope this helps.

Cool stuff!! The resin sets pretty fast so work fast... get your color mixed on the clear side and dump in the yellowish side, mix throughly scraping the sides for about 15 secs and pour. I love how quickly you can make things. With clear resins you have to wait around 24 hrs but not with this stuff. I wouldn’t stir longer than 30 secs.

Sets so fast you can even work with it and wasn't clear at all. Ruined a bunch of my artwork :(

I do not know if you changed the chemical in your spresin, but I have never had it cure Yellow toned. It does not cure white

Quality is excellent, great value for the money, 1 to 1 easy measurement, can be used in so many applications. A must buy and buy again!

Once it cured it was a little more opaque than I was hoping for, but all in all it's a good product. And hard to beat for the price. One thing I would say though, not that the product isn't clear about it, but it's not kidding when it says that the working time of the mixed epoxy is only a couple of minutes. Point is, be ready to use it right away once you mix it.
