Works great! A good inexpensive way to bring power across my office in an old house. If I owned the house, I would probably have some more outlets installed, but this suits my needs perfectly. For the cost, it wouldn't be that bad to replace it every two or three years if it were to break apart. It runs under a rug across the middle of the room, so it's easy to step over and it seems impossible to trip over.

I think this is a good idea and works perfect to conceal our cords coming out of our new power reclining sofa. But it is not beige. It is green. Wish I had paid more attention to the review before buying. I would go with the black or grey because the weird shade of green doesn't match my decor.

This product is spectacular! We just moved into a new home wherein they did not build outlets into the middle of the living room floor, so the lamp on one coffee table does not reach an outlet. This extension cord offers a great solution for running underneath the couch to give us additional electrical access, while remaining fairly low profile. It is a little thicker than I'd have preferred, maybe ½" thick, but I don't expect this was necessarily designed for in-home use. But it lines up nicely with my dog mats and gives us the safety of not tripping over exposed cords, or risking fire hazard by running cords under a carpet. It would be nice to see these in hardware stores so you can actually get a good look & feel for how sturdy these are, and see that the electrical cords are fully enclosed within the protective strip so separation is not a concern, but it is definitely hardier than I expected. This product will definitely serve our purposes!

Great product and service

Got this to run along behind the back of a curved sectional sofa. It is just the ticket. I'm able to plug in a lamp on the end table without worrying someone will walk up behind the sofa; tangle their foot in an extension cord and everything come crashing down. It is sturdy, substantially weighted, well made, lies flat on the floor and is not easily dislodged by a stray foot. I have no problem recommending this item.

The "beige" is more a light olive green. The Velcro strips in the description used to hold the product to the carpet were not included. I'm not returning only because bad as the color is, the others are even more likely to clash with the carpeting. UPDATE Returning - color actively clashes with the room, can't get to lie flat, and warning sticker about containing carcinogens. I suspect these are pirated knockoffs, or else the company has been sold and the product since I bought the ones I have some 25 years ago.

I set up my sewing/craft room in our new house. I bought a large Ikea kitchen piece with large drawers and overhang designed for stools/eating. I use it for cutting, sewing etc. It is wonderful because I have access on on 4 sides and the height is a back-saver. However, my electric is over on the wall. After about 6+ months of being careful to NOT trip over my sewing machine cord I searched and found this. It is as close to a perfect solution that I could have found. I had to put some heavy books on cord cover for about a week to fully flatten it. (It arrives rolled up.) But it has behaved since. It will scoot slightly side to side with being bumped with my foot. I may consider a few pieces of double-sided tape to correct this. But it really has not been problematic.
