Yoga Direct Extra Wide Yoga Mat, Black (A241MATBLA36)

My wife I use a pair of these for working out to P90X3 and yoga. The floor is carpeted which would be destroyed by now (~ 9 years after purchase) had we not used these. In addition to protecting the carpet, they do well to soak up sweat and provide a durable/grippy surface. I'm 6'4" and can do dynamic lunges on them. I actually don't know the standard size of a yoga mat, but these are plenty adequate for my, and wifes, needs.

I got this for our workout room. My boyfriend needed a thinner yoga mat to do his exercises on and the regular yoga mats are too small. This one is perfect! He lovesssss it!

Perfect for plus size yoga or floor sitting mat!

So I purchased this mat with the sole intention of leveraging it as a playing area for the games X-Wing Miniatures. The official play area is 3' x 3', and this mat happens to be 6' x 3'. Using a utility knife, I sliced the mat in half to create two 3' x 3' playing areas. As a playmat for X-Wing Miniatures, it works wonderfully. The surface provides enough friction to prevent the ships from sliding around accidentally. If you press the ships into the mat ever so gently, it provides even more of a connection to the mat, increasing the friction. The black backdrop really does make the game more enjoyable, as it gives a uniformity to the play area as well as a contrast to bring out the ships. The mat lays down flat, with no curl if you place it with the curling sides down.In the future, I may add "stars" as white paint. But for the price, $20 at the time of this review, you get two play mats. So if I manage to completely mangle one mat with my "star" treatment, I will still have another.

Description says 36 x 72 extra wide yoga mat. that is what I ordered but not what I received. This is the standard 22' wide mat, back it goes. Not happySpoke with the seller, the one I ordered was out of stock and the small one was shipped, The one I ordered will be in stock in a few days and one is to be shipped to me, if it arrives as promised I will be very happy. The one I received is very nice, thick cushiony, just smaller than I wanted

I needed an inexpensive mat to cover and protect my dining room table (which also doubles as my board gaming table); this was recommended by a FB group member. While I had to air it out for a couple days to get the oily smell out of it, this mat is perfect! It is the exact width of my table, and while it was longer than my table, that was nothing a pair of scissors couldn't take care of. It protects against dice rolling (the dice will roll fine, but the table is safe from dents and mars), and keeps the boards, minifigures, and other accessories in place--while not being SO tactile/sticky that you can move cards, items, etc. with ease. Would recommend to any gamer looking for an inexpensive table mat.

I bought this mat for Insanity and have been very happy with it. It's wide enough to do pushups on without my hands going off the sides, and it's long enough that my 5' 10" frame does not hang over the ends. Its size also makes it heavy enough to stay in place when I move around on it, even on top of a slippery carpet.The only drawback I've found is that the mat is a little sticky on bare feet yet also gets slick quickly when sweat drips on it, which is a bit disappointing, but I found that exercising in socks solves both those problems pretty well. It's also a little smelly when you first take it out of the package, but that airs out/disappears after a few days. Overall I'm satisfied with my purchase (and you definitely can't beat the price!).

I needed a a mat that was wider than the standard 24" (2ft) and this mat works great. I started a boot camp fitness program and the standard mat size just wasn't wide enough for me to do push-ups on. This mat has held up well for the 3 months I have been using it. My work-outs are 3 times a week in a parking lot. We are up and down on the mats all the time and and I have not had any rips or problems. Like most mats, this mat will fly away in a strong breeze, but I just weigh it down with my dumbbells. I hate when mats have one end that won't stay down because it's been rolled so tightly. So, I fold this mat in half and then roll it up. This has work well to keep the ends flat during the exercise.

I have used this mat 5 times now. I really like the extra wide size and the length is very suitable for a short 5'4" person such as myself. The 'new' smell went away very quickly, in a few days. It's sticky in that I don't slip around and it doesn't slip around on the floor. The only thing I wish for is it to be slightly thicker: it says it's a 1/4" thick and I'll be honest, I didn't know how thick that would be in reality. When I do a few knee poses, I feel my knees go to the floor. But that's not often so I still give it a high rating. It's super-the price, the colour, the size. That's what gave it 4 stars. I'd actually give it 4 1/2 stars.

Lightweight and comfortable. The material grips my feet well, and it's wide enough that my knees aren't sitting halfway off the mat during tabletop, which is a problem I have with standard yoga mats. The price was a bonus.

Came with odour but it has gone as i washed it with soap. Pleased with its size and thickness and so far it works well.

We use this under our spin bike (Zwift) to keep the noise transfer down and catch sweat. It works awesome.

Great mat!I use this mat for Yoga and a soft pad to work out in my basement. It would make a great mat for kids to play on even.It is about twice as thick as a standard yoga mat which is extra cushy especially if using it on a hard floor surface.The width allows tall people or those with longer than average arms for downward dog and other yoga moves.My ONLY gripe is that it is only a little bit longer than a standard yoga mat. An additional 6 more inches and I would have given it 5 stars!
