Lifetime of 264 gallons/1000 liters or 12 months out of packaging. UF hollow fiber membrane will continue to remove bacteria, protozoa and some viruses even if carbon element is over 264 gallons. Same as other water items, have not used them, but I believe they will exactly what they were meant to do, filter my water and make it safe to drink.
