Great quality
I think the devise is good quality, I bought based on a recommendation. Unfortunately, it didn’t solve my problem, I believe I have a bad fan. Funny enough, it didn’t control a fan in another room, lol. So it works. Love all the functions it offered.I would recommend!

Works As Advertised
Installation was a breeze - you'll need to be well-versed in how to install electrical switches, lights, and other electronics in your home otherwise you'll risk shocking yourself or worse, a home fire.Bottom Line - Be Safe!I was replacing an 18 yr old similarly configured switch which had failed. It took me about 15 minutes to replace by shutting off the breaker box, installation referencing the previously removed switch configuration, confirming connection, then turning on the breaker to confirm everything worked and buttoning up from there.I have 3 more of these legacy switches in my home - I know where I'll buy another if I experience another failure.

Not white but works great
Works great. Fit in my decora covers. Only complaint is the white is really almost a grey so it does not match color wise. But it works and looks so much better than that tacky remote I am happy

YIPPEE!
This is the 2nd one I ordered. Works perfectly! Replaces my original Minka Aire wall control that looks the SAME as this Fanimation. I don't like the new controllers that Minka is using the last five years or so. I have two of those in small BR. Have two others that are this style. So that's why I had asked the question--out there--what is the difference between the WC212 and the WC210 for Minka Aire--as I wanted to be certain this Fanimation would work. The first one I received did not! BUT, I believe someone returned an old one to Amazon and it was not caught. I noted that on my return. It even looked older than the one I was attempting to replace. I will try to submit photo of old one later--to prove it wasn't me! So glad this worked. This was "used" but still had "clean" packaging, instructions and all materials, including screws. The first shipment did not. *** Oh! When I spoke to Minka Aire, CS recommended replacing the receiver and something else up in the ceiling hub. Yikes! That got complicated. Then I remembered about that little red light indicator on the wall control-that no longer lite (as my others do when you push the buttons). That gave me an easier and much cheaper place to start my trouble shooting. And this solved it. Aslo remember to match your 4 dip-switch positions.

Perfect replacement for orphaned Honeywell controller.
Note: this is a wall mounted controller only. It is not a handheld controller nor does it include the control receiver unit that mounts in the fan itself. Several reviewers have complained about this. As some say, RTFM.Anyway, I got this on the advice of another reviewer on this site to replace the failed wall mounted controller (p/n UC-9060-1) for a 20 year old Honeywell HFC-400x fan mounted on a 15 foot high ceiling. Honeywell service - which clearly isn't really Honeywell, just a phone answering cubicle somewhere - took four days to respond to my call - then told me they had a replacement unit that required dismantling the fan to replace the internal receiver as well as replacing the wall controller. Their replacement would not allow reversing the fan nor would it have a brightness feature. All for $40 plus shipping. I didn't ask how much the shipping would cost. This unit works exactly like the old one - three speeds, reverse, light dimmer, w/o climbing a 12 foot ladder and taking the fan apart. And I bought an 'Amazon Warehouse' unit - returned, I assume - for only $20. Not bad.Installation takes a bit of care: if you aren't familiar with house wiring call an electrician. Really. The original controller has two otherwise unlabeled black wires and no ground wire. The new unit has two black wires and one ground. The new unit's black wires are labeled 'line' and 'fan' so I disconnected one wire at a time from the old controller and checked for voltage. No voltage = fan, line voltage = well, line and connected the new unit accordingly. Logically this may not have mattered but directions/labels are usually there for a reason. I also had to dig out the ground conductor from the plastic wall box and connect the controller's green (ground) wire to it. A bit fussy and more of a problem due to the workmanship of the original installation than the new controller.Just in time for the winter solstice.

Replaced Minka Aire remote
We had an old ceiling fan with a Minka Aire remote (CHQ8BT7053T) that wasn't working very well anymore. I wanted to get an integrated wall control instead of having a switch and remote, and took a chance on this one. The original price was a little more than I probably would have spent, so I ordered a used one much cheaper.Installation was pretty straightforward if you have basic electrical knowledge for hooking up light switches or outlets. Make sure you match the four dip switch positions on this to the switches on your existing remote, so that it matches the frequency of the fan's receiver. It works great! The light turns on and off and dims. The fan's three speeds work as expected, and can reverse. I'm so happy to be rid of that old unreliable remote.
