Perfect for butterflies
My kids wanted to see the monarch life cycle so we got one of these cages. It was a great size to fit plants in and keep other bugs out. It was also durable and held up great all summer long.

This habitat is well suited for the life stages of caterpillars to butterflies.
Having had this habitat for years in my pre-k classroom, my husband and I wanted to have one at home to enjoy watching the stages from caterpillars to butterflies. It's perfect for that!

Surprise usage
I ordered this for my friend who is a honeybee keeper. When she finds a swarm in the wild, or receives a call from someone, she uses it to ‘drop’ the swarm in to it. She loves it and considers it a great work tool.

Average at best for a child hobbyist
I do like the size of this pop up. I wish the bottom had a plastic layer. Usually they call them viewing side or something to that effect. It just makes it so much easier to clean and to use. Currently, we have a praying mantis in the cage. It was unplanned but was what we had on hand to make him a home. It has to sit on top of and partially in a plastic bag from a grocery store so the dirt and sticks etc don't fall through the netting. I could probably cut a piece and place it in there myself, but that's inconvenient. This is best suited for catching butterflies in the field and releasing them at the end of the evening. It is put together well, and zippers work smoothly.

Insect net
I purchased this last minute for our wedding and we did a butterfly release. This was perfect for the price. The quality was great it popped right up after coming out of the package and it was very sturdy.

Great butterfly & caterpillar tent for light use
Bought this to bring caterpillars & butterfly chrysalis inside during an unusual cold spell here in SE TX. Served it's purpose. Enough room to add a few small potted pollinator food plants with a plastic plate on the bottom. Had 3 butterflies hatch inside during the 3 day span.

Perfect for butterflies
It’s a little pricy for what it is, but the pop-up enclosure was perfect for my daughter’s monarch caterpillars to form their chrysalises in and become butterflies. The only downside is that the zipper runs right along the edge where they attached to, so it was difficult to unzip to put new milkweed in after the first one had suspended itself.

Netting obstructs view
The size of this enclosure is very nice, however the top is zippered almost 360 degrees and is not sturdy. Difficult to clean out especially if there is a chrysalis attached to the netting. The netting is white and the spaces are very tiny so it is extremely difficult to see clearly inside.

I thought it a bit pricey. After purchasing this cage, I found a pop up kids net laundry hamper with zipper for a 1/3 of the price.

It was great to put our butterfly cocoons and then to release them

The habitat is just as pictured but I wasn't thinking it is not the best if you want it for Monarch caterpillars . In order to put fresh milk weed in ( must do that every day ) you have to open the top. If you have more than one caterpillar in the habitat on one has already spun it's cocoon , that would always be on the top then you would have to constantly be moving the cocoon. I ended up laying the habitat on its side to avoid the problem, Also a clear section would be nice for better viewing . I am using it but would buy a different style for monarchs

Très bien. Dommage qu’il ne soit pas plus grand par contre.
