## Overview

Crazy Taxi is an exhilarating driving game where players navigate through crowded cities, picking up fares while avoiding obstacles. With four unique cabs and a soundtrack featuring iconic bands, this game combines humor and high-speed action for an unforgettable experience.

## Description

Crazy Taxi is a mad race against the clock and traffic. As any of four fearless cabbies, players are driven by a single goal: to rack up megabucks in fares and tips before their shifts end. Drivers pick up passengers and take them to their destinations by any means possible. It's a comic cab opera of collisions and decisions, where courtesy takes a back seat to coin. Crazy Taxi offers all the enthralling features that made it a must-play arcade and console game, including four different cabs and drivers, each with his or her own style and attitude, two expansive and interactive courses for extensive gameplay, nine minigames to challenge various driving skills, true driving dynamics, wild, mission-based gameplay infused with humor, and a rockin' soundtrack by Offspring and Bad Religion. As a fearless cab driver with attitude, your goal is to rack up the mega-bucks before your shift ends. It's a race against the clock as you pick up passengers and white-knuckle it through busy streets and back alleys to their various destinations. To keep that meter collecting cash, you've gotta take the fastest route possible, even if it means bending the traffic laws--just a little. So get a grip on the wheel, sharpen your senses, and don't lose your cool. Crazy Taxi is now available for the PS2, the Xbox, and the GameCube. And it's superb. The aim of the game is simple. Drive a ludicrously fast taxi and make oodles of cash as quickly as possible. Playing as one of four drivers, each with his or her own skill set, the player needs to locate and pick up passengers and race through crowded streets to get passengers to their destinations while picking up healthy tips for speed on the way. Tips can be increased through the execution of stupidly dangerous stunts and the cunning use of the shortcuts and back alleys the game offers. Graphically, Crazy Taxi is a treat. Big, bold vehicles fairly rocket around the streets of the sprawling city, which has environments ranging from shopping malls to freeways and beaches. Everything crusies along at a fairly steady 60 frames per second, and the only gripe with the graphics is the pop-up at long distance, which is irritating but doesn't ultimately doesn't affect gameplay. Sound is excellent, with some thumping skate-punk tunes provided by the Offspring and friends, and comedy back chat from the cab drivers and their passengers. If only there was multiplayer capability, there would be icing on this cake. Still, this is pure, blissful arcade entertainment. --Chris Russell -- desertcart.co.uk

Review: Hey Hey Hey! - Hey Hey Hey, it's time to play Craaaazy Taxi! Classic arcade game, later ported to the Dreamcast and then to the Gamecube. Fast, crazy action with an awesome soundtrack featuring The Offspring and Bad Religion.
Review: It's a fun game that you don't have to devote a ton ... - Simple gameplay - pick up customers, deliver them to where they want to go while impressing them with your daring driving skills. Rinse and repeat. It's a fun game that you don't have to devote a ton of time to. You can play the arcade style (start with 60 seconds as if you dropped a quarter in), or choose the 'original' or 'arcade' version map and choose to drive for 3, 5, or 10 minutes. The map titled 'original' seems to be second or new map, since the game started out in arcades. Perhaps it meant it was original content for the console version? Oh and the soundtrack is great - Bad Religion and Offspring.

As someone who grew up playing Crazy Taxi on the sega dreamcast, I must say future re-releases of the game such Game Boy Adavance , [[ASIN: B00AEV8K8Y PC]], Andriod , XBOX 360's "Dreamcast Collection" were just downright terrible Most of the future re-issues I mentioned had the businesses such as Levi's, Pizza hut, KFC, tower records, Fila, ETC, and music by Bad Religion and Offspring removed from the game, Likely due to copyright issues. but having those removed really took the fun out of the game Luckily, the game cube version was able to keep the game exactly the same was on the sega Dreamcast so if you can obtain a copy of crazy taxi with everything intact, I must say the game cube release is a perfect one to get if you can find a copy.
