Mating connector is a JST-XH-2.54, 3-PIN
I revised this post after shopping for the right mating connector, since they don't specify. The mating connector is a 3-pin JST-XH-2.54. It's a 2.54mm JST connector available on Amazon.Hope this helps somebody else so they don't have to guess and buy a few different things to get the right one!! There are a few different JST sizes.Other than that, it's a nice sensor and working like a champ!UPDATE:I finally got my test environment on a live water supply. The accuracy is horrible based on initial testing. I'm trying to measure absolute water volume....I don't care about flow rate. Based on initial testing into a marked bucket, I got close to 4,000 pulses/gallon. But if the supply pressure is reduced to 10PSI, I'm resulting in HALF the pulse count!! It's all over the place. So I'm not sure about this thing. I'd be interested if anybody else has had any luck in a totalizer application? It would be nice to know a simple constant for pulses per standard volume...like pulses/gallon.

Good for RO supply or product water usage monitoring. Switch signal & negative leads in connector
I've spent the past few months refining my assembly of a whole house well water filtration system & reverse osmosis drinking water plus ice makers on 2 refrigerators, a sink side spigot & rain barrel top off water feed for our 600 gallon pond. With this sensor & the Digiten controller I can measure the feed water side of the RO/DI pretty accurately.Using the DIGITEN 1/4" Quick Connect Hall Effect Sensor Water Flow Sensor Food-Grade Flowmeter Water Flow Counter Meter 0.3-10L/min to make it easier to determine membrane & pre/post filtration stages effective remaining life.Chose this over a kit as I've no need for solenoid control of the input water, bought the controller & sensor separately to save a few bucks. The press fit sensor was nearly effortless to install, with one caveat, the sensor is miswired when ordered separately from the controller. It's an easy enough fix as the jacks are accessable in the plug assembly & can be pressed out to swap positions to work with the controller's harness connector. In this case as noted by other reviewers the black & yellow leads need to swap positions to connect to the proper pins in the not quite correct mating connector. They can fit together but it's not the normal connector as appears to be supplied in the controller kit using the same sensor. As far as hose installation, simply cut your ¼" hose end square & cleanly, push til it bottoms out in the fitting, tug back a smidge & snap on the horseshoe lock into the notch between the cuff & fitting body, you're all set.Set up of the controller was fairly straight forward, set up for total usage, alarm function on a count, & visual flow indicator. You will need to calibrate the sensor with your controller, the instructions are included with it.With the sensors installed it seems sensitive enough once the controller is properly calibrated to the right K value for your pressure & flow.Calibration is pretty straight forward, set a K, decant some water, adjust until the meter display agrees with the decanted volume of water...in my case a K value of 150 was close enough.Of course it would be great if Digiten had a flow sensor granular enough to track product water production (not usage, production)So now I can track when to swap out filters at 850 gallons & the membrane at 44000, as long as it stays in calibration & the flow meter doesn't fail.My opinion so far, is it's a good buy, just remember to swap the leads positions in the connector!I'll update in the future if anything changes.Digiten, if you read this, please produce a dual monitoring model of the controller, would love to track supply & product production in a single display...and while on a wishlist, wifi reporting would be huge.

Excellent for Hobbyist Projects
I purchased the 1/4" quick connect version of this sensor to be part of some custom AVR hardware I developed for the monitoring of water line filter life and efficiency. My sensor has been working great for almost a year now with no leaks and consistent operation. I did need to manually calibrate the k-value to make its readings more accurate. The product description suggests a value of 38 which I found to be under-estimating the actual water volume. Using a 2-cup measuring cup I took 10 samples and recorded the reported vs actual volume and found a value of 36 was way more accurate for my sensor. I believe the reported +/-2% error is more like +/-5 or 6%.If accuracy is important, I would suggest performing your own calibration. Otherwise, the sensors work great for my application.

Black and yellow were reversed to work correctly with controller. Otherwise works great!
The media could not be loaded. It works. Just needed to switch black and yellow wires with a digiten controller. K-value setting is 32. Bradley H hope that helps.

Works like it should
I've updated this review and deleted what I had before. While I had problems with air flowing through it, as the seller pointed out here, it isn't made for airflow. Once I began pumping water through it, I had no problems with the spinner inside. The mistake was mine, and the product is good!

NOT quick connect.
I originally gave this product a 1 star because it is not quick connect, as advertised. However, the seller contacted me and offered either a replacement or a refund and because of the seller willingness to work with me on resolving this issue I'm bumping it up to 3 stars.

Doesn't work with DIGITEN flow control controll er
I cannot get this to work with DIGITEN for controller unit.I'm not sure why it doesn't read I don't know quite what k value I should enter to make this thing work extremely frustrated.

Leaks.
Could not get this item water tight. Constantly leaked.
