If you own a GTO you will love this book

Hello from Montana, We had visited the auto museum in Las Vegas but the only book on GTO's was ratty and shop worn. I saw my husband Dwain debating about buying it anyway, but I talked him out of it. Then I ordered these books from Amazon for his gift. He loved it. He has a 1966 GTO that he is preparing to sell. Lots of history and fully restored. The license plate says GTO4ME The only reason we are selling is because we have six adult kids and ten grandkids who all want it. But, they really want the memories of restoring it with Grandpa. So we are going to sell it and take the whole famdamily on a cruise so everyone has great memories. We were able to learn even more history and the back story of GTOs from this book. I have been restoring Pontiacs for many years now and I specialize in the 1970 to 1972 models. I have numerous books on Pontiacs including many original dealer materials. I thought I pretty much knew all there was to know about the 70-72 models but after purchasing this book, I was astounded at the minute details and information provided in this book that I had never seen before. The pictures are of extremely good quality and detail and are printed on good heavy pages. I must say that it is imperative that one must have numerous books and reference material to perform a correct restoration and I must admit that even with the dozens of books I already have, that this book is not just a welcome addition to my library but it is likely THE most detailed and accurate book that I have on this subject.

A lot of good info and quick reference for some key part numbers. Contains some bonus info on the GTO as well.

Most of the softcover book was interesting but not relevant to my restoration. Even so, it was professionally assembled and presented, giving detailed information about each year of GTO production. Nice to have full information for verification of particular details on these historic vehicles .

I bought this for my husband for Christmas and he has been reading it ever since. He told me it's very informative and it was the perfect gift since he just purchased a 1970 GTO a few months ago. He gives the book a big thumbs up!

If one has a 1964-1974 GTO, and is looking for "Originality" one should have this Book. I have a 1967 Pontiac GTO. With this book plus Paul Zazarine & Chuck Roberts PONTIAC GTO RESTORATION GUIDE--1964-1970 plus a General Motors 1967 LEMANS/GO TEMPEST ASSEMBLY MANUAL one can really strive for that 'Original' look. All three books together has helped me 100% of the time.

I love this book and reference it often. Thomas DeMauro is one of the most well-respected Pontiac photo journalists in the nation. DeMauro, Rocky Rotella, Don Keefe, and the late Paul Zazarine belong on the Pontiac Mount Rushmore!
