I have two wired speakers I want to use for my computer. Would I just put all four wires into this and plug into the back of my tower?

First, verify the 3.5 mm socket on the tower has four connections to mate with the four on the adapter. Second, the tower output will not likely deliver sufficient audio volume to unamplified speakers. If your "wired speakers" have a separate connection to deliver power to them from an ac wall outlet, then they are amplified speakers which should work well if your connections are arranged correctly.

How do you wire this to two standard stero speakers?

Just like the audio output red / black you would push to open to insert the wires you would just screw the screw down once the speaker wire is in it to secure it.

Can I use this to connect 2 stereo speakers using standard speaker wire to my mp3 player?.

I used these to extend a condenser microphone over a very long distance to a conference table and they work perfectly. I needed to use the 4 Pole for added power and control of the condenser microphone but if you know the pin out of your MP3 player and your speaker are powered then of course it could work. You would just have to make sure to wire your connections correctly. Hope this helps.

what size wire will fit?

We used 22-18 gauge. The manufacturer says 16 will work. That is pretty large for an 1/8" plug.
