Hard work but worth it.
This work book has helped me so much. It’s a lot of work and I have had to pace myself at times, but I can see myself healing and learning to love and accept all the parts of me.A couple of things I did have to note from the perfectionist side of me, even if you don’t fully get the first step mastered or completely understand it, keep moving forward. And it’s ok to go back if you need to. I almost stopped at the first step because that one is probably the hardest for me, but I’m glad I kept going to at least understand and connect it all more. Also, if you are a Christian, like me, there are some things in this book you might not agree with and that’s ok. Don’t toss out the entire book for those few things that don’t line up with your belief system. There is so much wisdom and knowledge in this workbook that I’ve not been able to find anywhere else and it has truly helped me.

What a gem
After having tried to fix so many things about myself with so many therapies and techniques and meditating and what not, none of them permanently working, this book (and a few others in the inner child genre of therapy) are literally changing my life. With this book probably being the most valuable of the bunch. So many good, intelligent, well thought out and deeply perceptive exercises and questions, so much wisdom... It's truly a gem. Having read over 70 self help books, I rarely leave a review but this one earned it.Be warned that doing this work is TOUGH (but almost immediately rewarding). It is not uncommon for my body to want to lie down for half an hour afterwards. Probably because feeling so many emotions - and not pushing them away for a change - is simply very draining. Also, this is a work book and the exercises are pretty much mandatory for this to work. It's not a book to skim. Which means that often I have to put the book down even though I would still have some time reading on because I know I won't have time for an exercise right now so I'd better leave it for another moment. Finally, thank you Dr. Margaret!

It's worth it, from a skeptic
I must admit, I was a little skeptical at first, but I came across Margaret Paul's work by reading Dr. Gabor Mate and someone recommended the Inner Bonding work. For me, the book and workbook have been really transformative so far and surprisingly useful in understanding my own internal dynamics of abandonment and disconnection. I started out doing the Workbook which gave me quite a bit of insight and then i went to the book. Others may want to start with the book and do the Workbook whenever it feels right. The book is an excellent companion to the Workbook. Since doing the Inner Bonding work, I have had all kinds of childhood memories and realizations arise and that has been very helpful in clearing the pain and disconnection. Also a terrific help to do journaling alongside the work.

An amazing workbook!
The Inner Bonding Workbook is another amazing work by Margaret Paul! This workbook teaches you the process of how to take loving care of yourself and how to connect with your spiritual guide. The process includes exercises that allow you to do deeper experiential healing.By learning the Inner Bonding process, I have a deeper connection with myself, with God and with others in my life. I also now have access to truth and wisdom in ways that heal both depression and anxiety and help me to be loving and present with my feelings.I am so grateful to Margaret Paul for teaching me this life-changing process! My greatest treasure is my connection with guidance, learning to hear wisdom and to feel unconditional love. I now get to share this gift with others!Kelly S. James, LMFT

Buy a paper copy, not Kindle
I bought the Kindle version and it’s very difficult to use as a “workbook” because you can’t write in it. Of course I use paper to write out the steps but I find it extremely cumbersome and sometimes frustrating to use the Kindle version because I often need to go back and review something I had read. If I had the paper copy this would be easier.I am very experienced with journaling and personal growth tools. I think the process is great, really good. But I believe if I wasn’t very experienced with self growth and healing tools, it would be very difficult to use effectively in general. Now I see there is a course to help guide you through the process, but it is $1800! Well that’s why I bought the workbook two years ago in the first place. I have been able to piece together some tips from the Inner Bonding podcast and some YouTube videos for making the process less cumbersome, but I am sure a course would be a much more efficient way to learn to use the process most effectively. Not going to spend $1800 though. Will keep muddling through with what I have.

This Workbook is a great tool in applying and practicing Inner Bonding in your life!
Dr. Margaret Paul's Inner Bonding Workbook is really amazing, easy to read and very helpful with learning to apply the 6 steps of Inner Bonding, and learning to love yourself in all different aspects/situations in life. The exercises to do as you read along the book really help to go deeper within and to learn about yourself and it feels as real as having a one-on-one session with Dr. Paul. This book will really help you with getting to know yourself deeper and is a great tool with practicing Inner Bonding. I highly recommend it to everyone who wants to learn how to love yourself and develop a stronger, more loving adult part of you.

A must have complement to practice inner bonding
Another great book by Dr Margaret Paul! I just can’t get enough of her wisdom. This workbook is the companion to practicing inner bonding. I got the kindle version and can access it from anywhere I am, I love the feature of writing in the workbook without ever needing a pen. Wonderful and convenient. I highly recommend it.
