Great sound quality I have it in 2ohm the front pushing 6.5 components and 4×6 plates and in the back 6.5 coaxial and extra tweeters all polk.the front gain is 1/3 up and the back is half way and OMG it's ear splitting! I got jl 5 gauge wire powering it and it runs smooth. 8 gauge will only harm any amp you put it to unless it's a really small amp IMO

I LIKED THE FEATURES AND IT SOUNDED GREAT BUT GOT AS HOT AS FIRE BEFORE FAN KICKED ON, SO I SOLD IT AND AND GOT THE XR400-4 AND XR600-1 SO I COULD RUN ANOTHER SET OF DOOR SPEAKERS THEY COST MORE BUT DONT GET HOT LIKE X450, I LISTEN TO MY MUSIC LOUD AND THE AMPS NEED TO STAY COOL

It has pretty good sound overall, nice addition to an expensive sound system. No static or clipping when tuned right. Unfortunately for me the fan circuit never worked, so it would overheat within 20 minutes of music. (Surface temperatures reached 160-170 °F in Colorado). I sent it back to be refurbished, and was told that the fan circuit was ok. So, I tried it out again and same issue. Fan never engaged, more overheating. So I was out an extra $20 on shipping and I don't believe Kenwood made an attempt to fix the issue but went through with standard diagnostics, and could not give me a functioning unit. Such a bummer because I was happy with it when I first heard it! I think it's safe to say this is the last Kenwood product I'll ever buy.

The two rear channels didn't work at all. And the sender refused to refund my money. They told me to go to the manufacturer.

Replaced an amp with this Kenwood eXcelon. Very pleased - easy to install. Limited but adequate instructions. We're using it to power Infininty Kappa component speakers in the front and Polk 6.5" coaxial in the rear. Sound is great - no complaints. It fits easily under the driver's seat of a Jeep Cherokee.

Don't waste your time on this amp. It runs way too hot. Fans kick on but seems to not get the job done. Spend your money another amp. I will say it works but I'm worried for how long. Plus the smell of the amp working to death isn't great.... I've tried to take the gain way down no change. It really does get hot as fire.

Coming from a Kenwood XDC-5 and powering 2 kicker speakers, 2 component ones in front doors and 2 infinity kappa 3 ways in rear doors. Fir nicely under back seat in 03 Durango and never overheats. Sounds clear as a bell. Couldnt be happier.
