Review: Fantastic Film. Period. - Excellent film in its genre and overall. Cinematography is larger then life. Only caveat is make sure you rent the language version you want. I accidentally rented the Italian version.
Review: Undeservedly ignored – witty and warm western - This film has all the elements of a fine spaghetti western adventure, with a strong thread of tongue-in-cheek thrown into the mix. Henry Fonda is Jack Beauregard, a worn-out gunfighter looking to just be left alone. Into his life strides young Terence Hill, introducing himself as Nobody and promising to make Beauregard's peaceful retirement possible. Unfortunately for Jack, every action Nobody takes in that direction seems to escalate the risk Beauregard's life to even more absurd degrees, until a resentful and perplexed Jack ultimately faces an army of angry outlaws on his own. The story is clever, the dialog is simple, clean, and often very witty, and the main characters, while in a few absurd situations, are fully credible. The chemistry between aging Fonda and young Hill is memorably engaging. Most importantly, the story, with its humor, film bears up well under repeat viewing, even if you think you're not a fan of the works of Sergio Leone. Bottom line: buy an extra copy. I bought this for myself, showed it to my 80-something-year-old mom, and she "co-opted" my DVD for her own collection of favorites to share with friends.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 'My Name is Nobody' is a classic

Back in the day, not everyone liked spaghetti westerns. I did. And having recently watched 'My Name is Nobody' for the first time in more than three decades, I know why I enjoyed them so much. Terence Hill and Henry Fonda - yes, THE Henry Fonda - team up in this movie about an aging gunfighter who just wants to retire and a young protege who thinks that the legendary shootist has to go out with a bang. Produced by Sergio Leone, who invented the spaghetti western, and featuring a musical score by Ennio Morricone - who did the famous scores for 'The Good, The Bad and The Ugly' as well as 'A Fistful of Dollars' - the film is a classic of the genre. That sounds a little pretentious so let me just say that it has the requisite number of gunfights, appealing - if somewhat roguish - heroes and enough villains to go around. Hill, who starred in the 'My Name is Trinity' spaghetti westerns back in the Seventies, is at the top of his game as the raffish drifter who seems always to be just one jump ahead of a bullet. Fonda, he of the steely glare and the softly menacing voice, is just what you'd expect from an Academy Award-winning actor: Excellent as the aging gunslinger. Hill would say later that 'My Name is Nobody' was his favorite movie and it's clear when you watch it that he is very much enjoying the opportunity to share screen time with Fonda. If you like spaghetti westerns, you'll like 'My Name if Nobody.' Shoot, pardner, even if you don't much like them I think you'll probably enjoy this one.
