Amazing mount and a brilliant company. Had mine for 6 years and the clip snapped the other day and they have shipped me a brand new one for free. Amazing customer service and you get what you pay for with this product!

IMPORTANT: One reviewer pointed out that the joint of this flexible mount rubs on the dash. THIS IS FIXABLE. By removing the nut/bolt which serve as the adjustable joint, you can (and will probably need to) reconfigure this mount such that it protrudes forward rather than backward. I did this, and the nut/bolt clears my dash by a hair. I have full range of steering column adjustment on my R57. Will try to include pic. Review: This phone mount is very well put-together. The metal feels sturdy, and is powder-coated black. The edges of the arms are a little sharp. You won't interact with them except during installation, but I foresee the powder coating rubbing off at these sharp edges. If you've ever removed a wheel, changed your wipers, oil, etc, then the install will be no trouble for you. On the R56/R57, you need to remove your tach gauges from the steering column (only 2 torx screws!). This went pretty well, but screwdriver clearance might require creativity. I find the placement is PERFECT as a little HUD while driving. Right between the wheel and windshield. Bad side is, the magnetic mount is plenty strong, but if you drive a Mini, you knew what you were getting yourself into. The stiff suspension and sometimes bumpy ride may cause your phone to slightly rotate on the magnetic pad. Not much, but if you mounted your phone horizontally, expect to reach over and correct the angle every few minutes.

This took less than 15 minutes to install, I bought the magnet version and placed the magnetic plate that came with it on the inside of my otterbox case and it holds the phone well, even on bumpy Michigan roads. Also, Cravenspeed offered customer support help to me, I did not need to take advantage of it but I was impressed that they reached out to me.

The CravenSpeed Gemini Phone Mount is the best place to view your phone without looking down. It mounts very easily to the tachometer cluster. The install only took less then 15 minutes. I have a 2014 R57 JCW and looks great. The only problem I had is with the mounting screws were too long to mount to the back of the tachometer, so I had to switch for shorter screws I had in my toolbox. I also notice that the adjustment screw and nut that adjusts the magnetic mount high or low is very close touching the dash pad at certain steering tilt adjustments just have to be careful where it might touch. The magnet is strong and holds my iPhone X w/case without falling off. Kind of pricey, but worth it to have access to the window switches and a cup holder back without the cup holder mount in the way.

Magnet is weak. You need to add their metal back plate to your phone. Most other magnetic holders work with the iPhone metal. This is disappointing. Another point is that the nut that goes over the adjustable ball does not totally lock the movement. Sending back and going a different route. For the price, I really expected a lot more. #disappointed
