Star Sets: Drum Kits of the Great Drummers

It has a lot of sweet photos and some info on each drummer . Including diagrams of their typical set ups and brand of drums and cymbals they use or have used . All drummers will definitely appreciate it . Some real nice centerfold shots in color and some really cool vintage drum company ads . Beautiful B&W photos of some killer vintage kits will make you drool ! Just a great book to have if you are a drummer . Or a bass player or a guitarist or a keyboard player ............

Nice book. Well illustrated also. I've always been interested in other drummers kits, like most drummers are I guess. Of course the book is dated a bit, but that is no big deal.

From the 20's to the 90's this book introduces you to the worlds greatest drummers and gives diagrams of their set-ups.The only thing I didn't like about the book is that it needs updating, with a few more drummers added. I am not a drummer but love listening to drum solo's, and bought this book out of curiosity.On the side... I downloaded 100+ drum solos from audiogalaxy, and winmx.

Well worth the money.

Very informative book but desperately needs updating. Also considering the price I feel there should be a lot more colour photo's.Doesn't even compare to "The Drum Book" by Geoff Nicholls which is fantastic.Wouldn't recommend "Star Sets".
