More Complex Than Traditional "Dump" Recipes, But Nice
I ordered several "dump" cookbooks and this is my favorite, because it comes the closest to the "dump dinner" definition, which is "no more than 5 or 6 simple ingredients dumped into a single cooking container and left to cook", making it super simple. There are more simple recipes in this book than in the others I ordered, but for the most part, these recipes are more complex than that, with numerous ingredients and several steps. So it wasn't what I was expecting, and I wasn't looking to simply buy another cookbook, though it does look like a nice cookbook and if I find a fairly simple recipe or two in here, and I think I will, it will be worth the cost.

Very good cookbook.
Very good book...have tried many of the recipes, and have only had trouble with one, and I added a few ingredients and it turned out very well. I would recommend this book to anyone that wants to cook meals in a crockpot and have free time to do other things.

Just When You Believe It Can't Get Faster, Easier and Taster... It Happens!
Just When You Believe It Can't Get Faster, Easier and Taster... It Happens!A year ago I heard about Dump Dinners I laughed. I cook, I write cookbooks, "it must be a joke" I said.Imagine you take five cans of stuff put it in a pot or crock pot and you are ready to go. No stiring, watching, just ready when you are.Author Julia Grady has created an amazing collection of incredible tasting Dump Dinners. All most no prep time, you just dump the stuff into the pot.She starts with soups. To name my favorites I would have to say all seven soups but the first one I'll make will be the 5-Can Soup. The book is divided into seven sections. Soup, Chicken, Pork, Beef, Seafood, Pasta and Vegetarian it is silly to mention the names as the most be international favorites as I want to try everyone. But how about... Garlickly Lemon Chicken with Capers, Italian Sausage Casserole, Orange Marmalade Marinated Salmon, Beef and Bean Cornbread Skillet Dinner and South-Western Tortellini Casserole, this was my pick, now you pick your own from Chef Grady's 49 easy to make delicious recipes.

Don't Know How to Rate It Yet
I am a senior citizen looking for good recipes that I can cook without much trouble... I tried the Chicken Enchilada recipe and it was not that good. There are TYPOS errors in this book, and the instructions on this recipe were not easy to understand, for me. I will try one or two more and then edit my rating, accordingly.

A great recipe book for fast dump meals
This is a collection of quick and easy, one pot meals. Most can be frozen and then reheated making for a very easy mealtime. The book contains recipes for many different types of meals including soups, various meat dishes, pasta, and vegetable dishes. Most of the recipes are accompanied by colour photographs. The book is well written and complete (including number of servings which is a treat) and are laid out in a professional manner. The recipes themselves are easy to follow and do not require a master chef to follow. In fact, I would suggest this to be a good first cookbook for your student or newly-on-their-own son or daughter. My only complaint is the lack of a Kindle menu. There's no easy way to get back to the cover or the table of contents.

Easy & delicious - but not innovative!
I was disappointed in this one - not much new in it and you had to do more than just dump stuff in a pot or pan to make some of them - imagine that! (I've gotten very lazy in my dotage!)

My new favorite cookbook
I hate to cook but I LOVE this book. So far I've tried 4 recipes from this book and every one was a hit with my picky husband. The recipes are super easy and typically use ingredients I already have at home. You literally put the ingredients into a casserole, then bake it in the oven. A side benefit is fast cleanup because because all of the ingredients go into a single casserole. It couldn't be easier. I plan to serve the garlicky lemon chicken with capers recipe at my next dinner party.

Quick & Easy Recipes
This is a great cookbook for busy people. I bought the book because a friend recommended it. I didn't have the slightest idea about the dump method of cooking until I read this book. The author gives an interesting overview about making dump dinners. She also gives a handy list of pantry items that helped me in getting equipped before trying out the recipes. The book also gives separate directions to cook the same recipe using the slow cooker, stove top & the oven, which was very useful. My family loved the spinach quiche recipe I tried.

Quick and Easy “Dump Dinners”
This recipe book contains some really cool, simple “Dump Dinners” that can be made in about 15 minutes. It includes some really tasty dishes such as Black Bean Soup, Pineapple Chicken and Vegetable Ramen. Great for busy people.

Too simplistic and reliant on junk ingredients for my liking.
Disappointing

Dump Dinners. Great flavourful food and minimum effort to prepare
I'm not familiar with the name 'dump dinners'. It made me think of raiding skips (dumpsters) behind supermarkets for excellent food, sometimes still in its sell-by date. However, I am a great fan of slow cooking (in winter, we cook on top of the woodburning stove that heats our home) and intelligent use of freezers and microwave ovens. This book is packed full with a wide variety of recipes for very tasty meals. Some use canned ingredients, others use fresh, and there's no reason not to opt for whichever suits you at the time you use each recipe. I very happy to see plenty of garlic and spices - this is not a collection of bland food you could find in your local HoJo restaurant. The one major ingredient I would add is interesting bread, which is easy to make and keeps well in the freezer.

Brilliant!
Brilliant! Great meals that are really easy to cook, using simple, unfussy ingredients, and no time at all for preparation and making. Some of them use a crockpot (slow cooker) which makes them even simpler. This would make an ideal gift for anyone who's short on time but enjoys wholesome home-cooked food. Great for entertaining too.
