Review
The helmet overall is a god quality and its sturdy but the size of it as advertise is well somewhat confusing its mainly for kids up to like 9 or so which average heads cause it fits snug even at the largest size. but over all i am happy with the buy at the price.

Deceptive photo, not for older kids.
Not what I expected. It has an interior adjustable strap like a kids bike helmet. You know, the padded plastic band with the crank knob in the back. It's hard to tell in the only photo, but it rises higher in the front, exposing the forehead, more than other helmets. Not what my 8 year old wanted or needed. We went back to the Protec helmets.

Great helmet for the money
The helmet is CPSC certified (this was something I was concerned about at the time I ordered.. there was no indication in the listing as to the helmet's safety certifications in the description, and the California Vehicle Code requires that a helmet be CPSC or ASTM certified for certain purposes). I took a chance based upon the fact I couldn't imagine K2 making a non-certified helmet. The helmet quality is good. Racheting disc tightening system via thumbwheel makes adjustment of the helmet's inner band easy and quick.
