17th Street Magic Dust All-Purpose Seasoning & Rub

My absolute favorite rub! Love it on grilled salmon and on smoked pork butts and rubs. When grilling pork steaks I use the rub, grill them, then follow up with BBQ sauce. I also add it to some soups and breading for chicken strips. Great stuff!

Came across this at the 17th Street Grill in southern Illinois. I purchased a number of jars when I was there and have been ordering from Amazon for years since. A great dry rub for chicken, ribs, and any other grilled meats

It's a little too salty, but it gives you the right size and mixture to start off making your own rub. If you like this rub, just look up the recipe online, and modify as you see fit. I reduced the salt and introduced a little more sugar. I also cut back on the cumin. It's worth getting this before spending a lot of money on bulk spices.

I've used this on chicken, steak, turkey and fish (cod). It is very tasty, the spices taste and smell fresh and potent, and there's no strange chemical aftertaste like you get from some mass marketed spice mixes.

This came on time and was packaged well with some other items. I purchased this after seeing 17th street on the BBQ programs. To me this product doesn't seem as pronounced in it's taste as some other products of the type, but I am happy with it and will use it on my BBQ items

This rub is amazing on everything from meat to potatoes--just the right blend of spices. Not spicy, a little sweet...we've made Magic Dust ourselves from the recipe in the Peace, Love and BBQ cookbook, but while very good, it's not at the same level as the pre-blended stuff.

Use it on everything.
