I’ve been reading that this inexpensive upgrade has made a huge difference on a Pike. It was time to change the wipers do I decided to throw this in at the same time. It was very easy to install. The fork was surprisingly quite different. Maybe it’s in my head, but it just felt more plush. Maybe it was the fresh wipers, grease and oil, but I’ve done that service before and the fork only felt a little better. This was a lot better. If you have the older air spring, I highly recommend this upgrade.

I installed this on my 2016 RockShox Pike to upgrade the air spring and also increase the travel from 150 to 160mm. Watch a few videos on YouTube to familiar yourself with the procedure, tools and materials you’ll need. It’s a fun experience to upgrade your fork yourself. Prepare for a hydraulic fluid mess and a great new stiction free ride. My 2016 Bronson CC just had its life extended. Other worthwhile upgrades included carbon wheels, front and rear shocks seal replacements, new RockShox Reverb C1 seat-post, wider Maxxis tires, steering tube replacement bearings, and others I’ve forgotten.
